Summary: Our stay at Borgo Mandoleto was towards the end of a couple of week sin Italy. What a great way to wind up the trip! Donnatella and he husband are marvelous! Donnatella is a wonderful cook, I highly recommend eating with them at every opportunity. The property is just outside of the small village of Solomeo, near Perugia. It is quiet and relaxing. We made friends with Mema, the kitty in residence, and she was fine company as well. There is a beautiful pool, unfortunately it was too early for it to be open, but it would be wonderful in the summer. Our room was also wonderful and comfortable. If you want to use this as a base it's centrally loated in northern Umbria. A good place to go see Lake Trasimeno, Assisi and the hilltop towns of Umbria, as well as close to a lot of the hill towns of Tuscany. We would HIGHLY recommend Borgo Mandoleto!!
