Summary: The staff goes above and beyond in all aspects. You feel welcome no matter what you are doing throughout the property. The Spa services, pools and staff are exceptional ( and we have stayed at some of the finest places globally ). This is a hidden gem.

Summary: Extremely peaceful. Thistledene was a perfect hotel to relax away the previous few days at a wedding. Chilling by the pool and sleeping in the sunshine. Food simple but enjoyable

Summary: We spent 5 nights here in early October and were blessed by superb weather. The overall experience was peaceful and relaxing. The spa facilities are good and the indoor/outdoor pool is great at this time of the year. The spa staff were very welcoming. The fitness suite was adequate but is without aircon until the spa opens at 9am. The restaurant was good although the menu was not extensive but this was offset by excellent service from the restaurant staff who did everything possible to enhance the experience. The hotel reception area is small and when we checked in and out was understaffed (1 person) which delayed the process. A bit annoying.

Summary: If you want a beautiful experience in the Umbrian countryside, while still close to Perugia and Assisi, this is a good choice. It's about 15 minutes driving to both destinations. We enjoyed the stay, the rooms were very nice and spread out nicely across the property with beautiful countryside views. The spa was very nice, great mix of pools, saunas and steam rooms. All very clean. We found the spa treatments to be very expensive for what they feature, when booking a massage pay attention to the actual time of the massage as it can be much shorter than the time time of the overall "experience". The breakfast buffet was pretty good, could be better, but was overall good. We did not have any meals at the resort besides breakfast. Overall, a lovely stay. I would suggest the spa open earlier and close later, otherwise everything was great.

Summary: We first stayed in 2010 and found the hotel staff very helpful and friendly - so it was nice to see them again in 2012 for our 30th Wedding Anniversary . We love the area it is quite peaceful, The food is excellent although ( evening meal ) maybe on the large side, Michael @ reception was helpful and speaks good English i did manage a few words in Italian, Francesco also helped translate the menu his recomendations were excellent. The pool and Spa are good and always clean. We will go again

Summary: Set in a lovely village outside Perugia, within easy access. The grounds are wonderful, the scenery stunning, particularly in the evening. Staff were extremely helpful and professional. Facilities are top class but not over powering!
