This freshly renovated luxury apartment has been designed and created by award winning interior designers to bring you the highest standards in every respect. If you need a place to relax in comfort and style, look no longer.
Perfectly situated in a quiet street right behind the famous Great Market Hall and just a few steps from the Danube bank and Liberty Bridge the location can’t be better. Metro 3 and 4 stations and the „sightseeing” tram #2 stops are 4 minutes walk from the apartment.
The apartment is on the 3rd floor (brand new elevator installed) of a beautifully renovated, protected building built in 1897 by Adolf Wittenstein, a wealthy fish and crayfish merchant (hence the extensive fish theme decoration on the facade).
The apartment kept some of the old heritage parts like the original wooden windows with brass handles and the heavy folding shutters, at the same time we wanted to create something really unique.
The floorplan incorporates the bedroom into the living room area (thanks to the high ceiling), there’s a flight of stairs leading to the queen size bed upstairs. The bathroom is under the sleeping area, the separate toilet is in the ante-room.
There’s plenty of storage room in the flat also a separate closet that would take all the clothes and accessories you’d have. The same room has a vanity table with mirror as well as high tech built in washer and dryer. The sitting area around the kitchen island can easily accommodate 4 people and the kitchen is fully equipped including induction hob, top class microwave and oven, also electric kettle, toaster, coffee machine, etc.

Summary: We loved staying in this beautiful apartment in Budapest. The photos are 100% accurate and the apartment was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. Gabor, the owner, couldn't have been nicer or more responsive. He answered questions quickly, gave us great advice, and was really lovely to work with. While we really liked the apartment, it might not be right for all travelers and so I want to mention a couple of quirky things about it. The most notable, potentially problematic thing is the bed. As shown in the photographs, the bed is located atop a loft in the middle of the apartment. To get to/from the bed, you have to climb up a narrow stairway and then crawl (or stoop) over to the bed. If you get up at night to go to the bathroom, this can be a bit of a hassle. If there are two people sleeping in the bed, the person on the "far side" has a bit of extra maneuvering to do to get across the bed and down the stairs. The bed's open location means that it also isn't insulated from noise or light coming from elsewhere in the apartment. If there are two people staying there, they'd need to agree on bed time. If you're a flexible person, this bed situation might not faze you at all. But it's something I would have liked to know about - so I'm mentioning it. The location is convenient for catching trams and getting around the city, but the neighborhood is a bit gritty and can be noisy.

Summary: This apartment is the luxury stay in Budapest you are looking for. Stay here, you will not regret it. Really we have 0 complaints or thoughts for improvement. Gabor has thought of it all. A brand new remodel with TONS of natural light. SO MUCH STORAGE! A great bathroom and separate toilet. Spacious walk in coat closet and laundry room with a small desk for working or taking calls (if your loved one is sleeping at night like mine while I was working on Los Angeles time). The kitchen is well equipped, the long island with seating is perfect for dining or working on a laptop, chating with your loved one while cooking. The living room large and the furniture is comfortable. There is an amazon fire stick and a nice TV if you are into that. The bed is quite comfortable. The building was nice and felt safe, the neighbors in the building are friendly. You are 100m from the great market hall and the Aldi in it's basement, and ~500m from a larger Aldi. There is a 24 hour store not far away. This flat is also 5 minutes walk to the Danube, 5 minutes to the famous Vaci st. shopping district. 15 minute walk to Gellert thermal baths. From this flat there was essentially nowhere in the the inner city we couldn't reach within 20 minutes by walking or public transportation. Try a scooter from just down the street! On top of it all you will have the most gracious and friendly host.
