The Area

The Property
• "Starfish Bay" and "Mermaid Cove" are two rental homes and part of our larger private property called LUSEA. Both rentals are available to book separately or together.
• Private and protected Guest Dockage for up to 55 foot boat with 100 Amp power and water (Please ask owner for dockage electric and water details)
• Separate seating area on the deck by the dock with Chairs and tables and fish cleaning station
• Two completely different water views and experiences. From the outdoor decks looking North is Sea of Abaco and from the docks facing south Is the Sugarloaf Canal and Lagoon (Allows use of water activities on either side of the property and great of winds are prohibitive one side or the other for water toys)
• High speed WIFI throughout the property including all decks and docks
• The entire property including "Starfish Bay" is off the grid. A large SOLAR power plant guarantees constant 24/7 power! Two diesel generators serve only as backup. All this forms part of our properties very own "green" power plant
• Being off the grid we also have our own water plant. We collect our own water called "Rainwater harvesting". In addition, we have Reverse Osmosis water as backup. Quadruple filtration system and UV treatment ensure water is drinkable from every faucet. No need to buy drinking water!

Exterior Living
• Oceanfront directly on the Sea of Abaco
• 1600 Square foot outdoor upper deck with infinity ocean views. Furnished with 4 lounge chaises, 4 Adirondack chairs, outdoor dining table for six and high top table for four. A fun cornhole set is also located on the upper deck
* Large outdoor A/C to keep you cool on hot summer days !
• Large lower deck with stairs that lead directly into the Sea of Abaco and an outdoor shower
• Outdoor Kitchen with Weber Gas grill, outdoor sink and preparation area
• Water Toys include 2 Kayaks,2 Paddle boards, water mat and snorkel equipment for six , toys available on both the North and South side of the property allowing allot more flexibility for weather and wind as one side is almost always protected .
• Wide deck and stairs make launching the water toys easy and convenient
• High Speed WIFI on all decks and outdoor areas
• The outdoor space has 3 distinct areas for outdoor living a) 600 Sq ft covered porch area b) 1000 sq foot upper deck with infinity ocean views c) Lower deck areas with outdoor Kitchen, Water Toys and ocean access
• Enjoy the water activities without leaving the property
We have two full time staff on our property to ensure the property is kept in pristine condition for ourselves and our guests. (Don't worry the property is large and our staff understand and respect guests privacy)
Roland is our full time property caretaker and available for your convenience: Monday through Saturday 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.
A two way radio is located in the home for you to easily contact Roland for anything you need including extra ice, help with the water toys, boat docking, help with coolers and general property questions.
Sandrine is our house keeper who is on property Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm that can assist with housekeeping requests. Sandrine may also be available on request for additional cleaning, provisioning and grocery/liquor store errands.

Guests have complete and private access to "Starfish Bay" with private parking, entrance, patios, decks and stairs leading into the Sea of Abaco.
Guests also have access to the private marina and docks on the south side of the property. A pathway leads from “Starfish Bay” to the dockage on the canal between Sugarloaf Cay and Eastern Shores.
Comfortable Adirondack chairs and tables are set up on the deck together with a fish cleaning station and private dock for up to a 65-foot boat.
Enjoy a completely different water view and vantage point with amazing sunsets.
Always available whether you bring your own boat, rent a boat, or just want another beautiful area to enjoy.
Guests are also always welcome to use the water toys including Kayaks, Paddle Boards and Water Mats on the south side of the property where the docks are located. This is a huge advantage as it provides a completely different area to explore by water in addition provides protected waters when the winds are blowing from the north.
* A rental car is recommended for movement around Marsh Harbour. Our property is at the end of a peninsula and easily accessible by car plus there is allot do do and see by car.
(Once booked we will send you our digital guidebook packed with information and things to do by land and sea)
* Taxi Cabs are available and always waiting at the airport for your convenience.
* The Ferry Dock with regular ferry service to surrounding islands and cays is less than a mile away located as you enter Eastern Shores. This makes it very easy to island hop around Abaco if you don’t have a boat.
* If you plan to rent a boat we recommend renting early as the rentals are very busy especially during season.
* For those that are bringing your own boat, please ensure you provide details on requesting your booking.

“Starfish Bay” is a completely private and separate Villa on our large property. "Starfish Bay" is located next to “Mermaid cove” our one bedroom Villa, both are directly on the Sea of Abaco. Both “Starfish Bay” and “Mermaid Cove” are available for rent together. (Subject to availability)
Our property also includes a large residence with multiple buildings including a guest house, water plant, power plant and private marina.

Summary: As a renter of vrbos for over 20 years, it's hard to get me to rave about something. But Starfish Bay was truly one of the best houses we have ever stayed at. Brandon and Roland (property manager) were fantastic - super responsive, helpful, and accommodating.The house itself was perfect, really perfect. One of the best equipped kitchens we've ever had (and great cooking on the grill over the sea!) All furnishing and the house were new - and gave you the luxurious feel of a high end resort.We used the dock slip and rented a boat for the week - it was amazing along with the ice from Roland every day and the fish cleaning station on the dock.At the end of each day, sitting on the massive deck over the sea was the best - watching turtles, rays, and dolphins while we read or played games or just relaxed int he sun. Truly and amazing experience!!

Summary: First off everything that was portrayed in the listing is spot on as it appears. The property was in pristine condition and absolutely beautiful. To have Roland there to get what we needed along with any problems ( which there weren’t any);to fix was a blessing and he was such a pleasure to have around. Contacting the owners when needed during the process of booking and what to expect was speedy and professional. I would recommend this property to ANYONE and we will be booking again here shortly. Summary: This was our 2nd time visiting Abaco! It was our first time staying at Starfish Bay and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our week long stay! Brandon and Lucy have an amazing property and accommodations that are second to none! This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house was immaculate and very well appointed with any and everything you could ever possibly need or want! The huge front deck overlooking the sea of Abaco was so great for morning coffee and the sunrise to the east! The back docks, in the narrows, were great too, especially if windy on the Sea of Abaco! The snorkeling right on property was amazing! Their caretaker, Roland was extremely helpful and so kind! Unfortunately, we never had the pleasure of meeting Sandrine, but I can say that she does an amazing job keeping the house so clean and fresh! We walked along the ocean on Eastern Shores road every morning! The house is private in its location but so close to all the amenities, such as Maxwells Grocery, the liquor store and some great bars and restaurants! We would highly recommend this property for your stay in Marsh Harbour, Abaco Island! We plan to book another stay next year! Summary: We had an absolutely amazing stay at this ocean front property in Marsh Harbor! From the moment we booked to arriving was a breeze & the property was impeccably clean. The location was perfect & the communication with the property manager was seamless. One of the highlights was the dock, which was exactly what we needed for the size of our boat. It made our boating adventures hassle-free & convenient. The hosts truly went above & beyond to make us feel like we were home, providing everything we needed & more. Packing was a breeze since the have everything covered - just clothes, swimsuits, sunscreen & deodorant were all we really needed to bring (& any food). Even their digital guide had all your questions answered, even questions you didn't know you had. Now lets talk about the view! It was absolutely breathtaking, something you could wake up to & enjoy a cup of coffee & watch the sunrise. The amenities provided were top notch, ensuring we had a comfortable & memorable stay. Roland was incredibly friendly, helpful & available whenever we needed his assistance. Needless to say, we would highly recommend this VRBO to our friends & family, & we wouldn't hesitate to rebook. Another great thing about this spot is its proximity to all the other Cays in the Abaco Islands. It made exploring the surrounding areas a breeze & added to the overall enjoyment of our trip. Summary: Everything you want for your Abaco stay, boat dock right there, personal ice maker , AC , sunrise and Sunset off the back deck , hermit crab races, good electric and water- never a glitch. Excellent kitchen and outdoor grill. It was actually much better than I deserved in the Bahamas.Easy access to airport - no ferry needed!

Summary: By far the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. The hosts have thought of everything. You will not find a nicer, cleaner, better appointed VRBO in the Bahamas. We enjoyed the breathtaking views from the oversized deck every morning and evenings. The protected dockage was ideal mooring for our boat. The location was perfect for exploring all the Abaco Cays via boat each day. Communication and accessibility with the house manager was easy. He was extremely helpful and courteous everyday. We will definitely return to Starfish and Mermaid Cove often. Thank you Brandon and Lucy for sharing your home and little piece of paradise with us.

Summary: Our family of 6 stayed on the ocean side of the property (note pic shown of the large deck with ocean front views). This has easy walk in access to the ocean and although we had all adults, a great location for kids too. The home was spacious and open with 2 queen bedrooms and a Master. LARGE deck with chairs/tables, etc and a grill/sink area which was awesome! Full washer/dryer located in garage, pack less - which we love. We've stayed in numerous rentals and this was BY FAR the most outfitted with spices, k-cups and machine for coffee, tea bags, sugar cubes, all the cooking utensils/dish and glasses needed, extra ice machine, towels, robes, starter dental kit, shampoo/conditioner, lotion, starter sun block, beach towels and also a cooler to use while there (which was a huge help as we did day trips and brought snacks/beverages and lunches). Easy drive from the airport with grocery and liquor stores on the way, and also very close to the ferry dock. We used the kayaks, paddle boards, saw sharks and rays, turtles, starfish and really enjoyed the view. Everyday it was something new. The home is immaculate, clean, bright and lovely. Roland was so helpful and the owners were amazingly accommodating, helpful and kind. This is a rebuild after Dorian, and they have done a beautiful job on this property - highly recommended and we would definitely rent here again! The owners are awesome and so is Roland! Thank you Brandon and Lucy, you were wonderful! Hope to see you again soon!
