Positive: Apartment was fully as advertised. In a very convenient location for Atocha Station and local bus routes. Omar met us promptly at the apartment despite our early arrival. He was very helpful, including sending us a list of recommended restaurants etc. Apartment was very comfortable for our extended stay (one month) and we would stay there again if in Madrid. Tapas bar on the corner and supermarket and bakery around the corner.
Negative: Apartment does not have a washing machine; there’s a laundrette round the corner (near the bakery) but it was out of action for a good part of our stay as they replaced the machines.
Summary: We stayed for a month (late Nov. to late Dec.) - the apartment was excellent for what we wanted.

Positive: Spacious, comfortable and in easy reach of pretty much anything. Host was 11/10, friendly and personable. Supplies like coffee, tea, oil, etc were a pleasant surprise. Abundant towels and great heated towel rail! Minor street noise was fine & reflected location and local life. Super fast internet was brilliant.
Negative: We were warned about evening noise for short periods from the business next door and this is out of the host's control. However, often it was so loud it felt like a bunch of people were in the room with us. Not a deal breaker though.

Positive: Great location to Atocha station. Super clean and tidy. Omar the host, met us, was very friendly and introduced us to the area.
Negative: Nothing really. But as a suggestion, maybe a choice of softer pillows, slightly hotter water in the bathroom and more comfortable seats would be appreciated .
