Summary: Staff was wonderful but the water park was only half working and the mattresses are VERY old and hard as a brick

Summary: Before we could settle in, we drove to the nearest Walmart for a vacuum and was glad I had clorox wipes and lysol spray. I can handle the outdated rooms but the cleanliness was lacking for sure! AC unit and surfaces were covered in dust (layers/years of it), fridge was dirty and sticky (inside and out), and stairways and light fixtures were covered in spiderwebs and bugs. The beds were not very comfortable but thankfully didn't have bedbugs so we tolerated for rest. Also, security was lacking - exit/emergency doors were never locked or had security cameras. During the little interactions we had with staff - they were friendly and professional. The room was very spacious but bathroom was very small with shorter ceiling.

Summary: The water park attached is not nice big slide closed lazy river doesn’t have tubes or very few. Deflated ones lying around. View of lake is awesome but do not go there for water park, you’ll be disappointed.

Summary: We've stayed in Mackinac city a few times and this was by far one of the best hotels. Clean beach and chairs, attentive staff and clean rooms.

Summary: Evening staff was polite and helpful. Morning staff was not. He treated us like an inconvenience. Room had a damp smell to it. Hallway and arcade area smelled like cigarette smoke. Water slides were not working and should have been closed off. No towels in the water park/pool area. No beach towels either.

Summary: Hotel and beach were great. Water park included was good. Only real drawback was the two larger water slides were down. That said the cost and per friendly position were chief selling points for us.
