Positive: Our apartment was spacious and had the benefit of the vast majority of the balconies. It was traditional, the kitchen had everything we needed and it was clean. There was a dishwasher and tablets to use in it which was great. A few essentials like washing up liquid, cooking oil and salt had also been left. We had a fantastic view of the lake and were in a spot convenient to the station, port and supermarket. Brienz is a beautiful town. I swam in the lake but there was the option to use the pool, and there was parking available too.
Negative: My bed creaked and the mattress wasn't level. If there had been 2 of us sharing it would have been a problem. The bath had no mat so it was slippery both when having a shower and when getting out onto the floor with wet feet.
Summary: A great spot with a fantastic view

Negative: The condition of our balcony was a little dodgy and there was a burnt smell from the cooker.

Positive: The view is amazing and location fantastic. You really canโ€™t fault either The property is also very spacious with lots of natural light. The owner is very friendly and you are provided with a gastekarte which provided discount off many local activities. There is a good full sized over , washing machine etc which is useful to cook your own meals as Switzerland in very expensive
Negative: We arrived after 6pm and keys were left out. Ty is was fine. However we had emailed and whatsapped at least 24 hrs before to say we would be late and ask where to park from reading previous comments. We got no response On arrival we could not find the car park and there were no instructions: After walking around the village for 45 minutes some other guests arrived and showed us where the car park was and let us in. However they did not explain that we needed a key fob which was a communal one in a seperate secret location to the apartment keys. We managed to not get all our belongings out of the car and the car was locked up and we couldnโ€™t get to it until the next day when the owner was present. Not a great start While we were there was a severe storm and the village was damaged. We were not affected and our car was safer than many others which were destroyed. However the owner did not communicate to us that residents were being told to boil driving water. Martin the owner is very friendly but something of a character and does not seem very organised. The property was not particularly clean - the floor needed a good mop as our feet got filthy - to was a heatwave but donโ€™t wear white socks. The bottom of the dishwasher was bunged up with someone elseโ€™s food.
Summary: We would probably stay again once we know to not arrive after the owner has gone home.

Negative: Once water leakage was there in the kitchen. But u guess thatโ€™s only bit of maintenance. Else all very nice

Negative: It is depressing how run down the place it is. Not just it is old furniture but also looks that it is collected from closed hotels with mismatched things around. The couple of windows couldnโ€™t get open with closed shatters so you cannot really enjoy fully the lake view. If you stay there donโ€™t lean on balcony since it is scary shaky. Just really dangerous. Even the garbage basket in bathroom wasnโ€™t properly clean with previous occupants garbage glued to the bottom.
Summary: Just look for other options since this one will make your holiday depressing.

Positive: Exceptional views directly facing the lake.
Negative: Swimming pool was not included in the booking when we reached there, even though it was mentioned as included in the facilities when we booked the property.

Positive: The view is incredible. The color of the lake, the mountains, it was just absolutely stunning. Wished we had more time to spend there. The apartment was spacious and just steps from the train station which was really nice.
Negative: Hosts were not responsive at all. Phone calls, messages in the booking app, emails, all went unanswered. But that view though! Hard to be mad when you look outside at that heavenly landscape.
