Positive: I had a wonderful short break at Brisa do Mar in Rio. It is a beautifully renovated apartment with amazing views, in a very convenient location, only 2-3mins walk from the Sheraton and across the road from a lovely sandy beach. The host was most helpful and promptly responsive. The apartment is on the 5th floor of the building and the lift worked well. It was clean, spacious with comfy bed and was very well equipped. The apartment was also very secure with 24 hours security and a controlled gate entry point downstairs.

Negative: Occasionally noisy, particularly on Friday night /early Saturday morning due to fireworks and neighbourhood sounds in the distance - however, this was a reminder of the party atmosphere in Rio. I managed to sleep well despite this.

Summary: I loved the light, space and location of this apartment and wish I could have stayed longer. Would definitely recommend

Positive: Don’t be scared about the very few reviews that are posted - the place is new and that’s the only reason. The apartment was fantastic, with possibly the best view out of the living room window that I have ever experienced. The owner was very helpful with everything, going out of his way to help me recover my hairdryer which I forgot from the apartment.. also, don’t worry about the favela nearby - it’s peaceful and nothing to worry about. I will surely try to book this place again if I ever back to Rio!
