Broqvarn is a beautiful mountain cabin situated a short walk to slope-side at Salamander Ski Trail and Timberline Mountain Lodge which is fabulous for ski/hike/bike adventures. This spacious 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom cabin provides plenty of space for family and friends to spread out. Broqvarn aka Northface 52 is a short walkable distance to the Timberline Mountain Ski Lodge (about 250 yards). Ski all day down Timberline's famous Salamander Trail and then take a break by the cozy fireplace. Hike and mountain bike the trails during warmer weather. Enjoy the hot tub, sauna and game room with a professional size pool table year-round. The spacious deck tucked in the trees hosts a propane and charcoal grill as well as a safety firepit, with a small stream meandering past the house. Broqvarn also hosts a sauna for your year round enjoyment. Broqvarn is only minutes drive to numerous West Virginia State Parks and other attractions including Canaan Valley Resort & Conference Center, Blackwater Falls State Park, White Grass Ski Area, Dolly Sods and the quaint and quirky downtown areas of Thomas and Davis. Broqvarn has three levels of space to enjoy with a master bedroom on every floor. The main level boasts a fabulous view with deck, charcoal and propane grills to enjoy outdoor family living with a hot tub on the lower patio. Enjoy a summer and fall leaf peepers season on the spacious decks.
Within walking distance to Slopeside/Trailside at Salamander Ski Trail and Timberline Mountain. Please note that it is always advised to use 4 wheel drive in winter to access Broqvarn during inclement winter weather. However Broqvarn is on the lower portion of Northface and has only a slight grade level to travel to reach the home. Broqvarn is a distance of about 250 yards to get to the lodge.

Hair dryers mounted in each bathroom, kitchen fully equipped, Cuisinart 12 cup coffee machine with single serve pods as well, also a Bosch Tassimo coffee/expresso machine, ice machine on counter top, professional cleaning and laundry service before your arrival, extra blankets in all closets, some basic spices available, laundry rooms on each level and laundry soaps are provided. Linens are provided and hot tub towels are provided. Deck provides safety fire pit, propane grill, charcoal grill and table seating. Central AC is not available but AC unit and ceiling fans as well as floor fans are an option if needed.

Summary: There are many things we had issues with including laundry that was not completed in each washer/.dryer, dishes not put away, broken and overly worn items and furniture. It was overall not safe for guests such as ice and snow not removed around entrances We also had an accident on the property(no fault of our own) and my car was severely damaged. No one showed up our entire stay to inspect it or clear any additional snow/ice from roof. Very disappointed in this property and managers/owner who did not properly follow up or offer their assistance. The amount of money we spent on this 3 night vacation was not worthy. The home definitely needs some updating and maintenance and it’s apparent that they do not care. We did enjoy the hot tub and it was spacious for our family but it was not ideal to walk to the lodge. Driving seems to be a better option

Summary: We were a group of 5 couples who get together annually for New Years Eve. The fireplace was great and the room was spacious enough to accomodate all. The proximity to the ski slope was wonderful and the hot tub was a great way to relax after skiiing.The owner was very responsive!

Summary: We had a great long weekend stay at the house with 3 generations of our family. The location was very convenient and enabled us to take advantage of the nearby skiing and snow tubing. The house was much better equipped than we had expected. We enjoyed the hot tub, sauna and fireplace!

Summary: Our whole family had the opportunity to come to this cabin to celebrate a Christmas getaway. It has been a dream of mine forever. Broqvarn had the perfect space for all of us to be together but also in separate spaces when needed. The pool table, hot tub, games were an added bonus. Having laundry in each floor was an extra we didn't expect and a huge bonus. The wood burning fireplace set the tone for the entire weekend. Stockings were hung food was shared and memories made. Our host were perfect and quick to respond with any questions I had. We will be back!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay! Location was convenient to exploring the area. Appreciated the fully equipped and organized kitchen. Had issues with electronic door locks and combinations, especially on lower level. Some stepping stones up to main rntrance loose and unsafe. Thermostat needs updating as heating was uneven. Overall, we were happy with our stay. up
