Charming stone-built house located in a peaceful and panoramic position on the green, rolling hills near San Gimignano.
The villa is the result of a recent renovation which has transformed this ancient barn into a beautiful and comfortable detached villa, ideal for spending a relaxing holiday in the very heart of Tuscany.
Internally the house offers comfortable and cosy rooms, is well furnished in rustic style and provided with all modern facilities such as sat. TV, CD/DVD player, Wi-Fi internet access, dishwasher & washing machine, microwave oven, espresso coffee maker, air conditioning, central heating, etc.
The house, completely enclosed, is provided with a private swimming pool (5x10 m. - depth 1,20-1,60 m.) available from April to October set in an olive grove with nice panoramic view over the countryside.
The property is very centrally situated for visiting the most renowned historical and art centres in Tuscany as well as many other smaller characteristic villages in the Chianti region, and within easy reach of the 'Siena - Florence' dual carriageway (8 km).
Essential services (food shop and restaurant) are available in the nearby village of Ulignano (1.800 meters), whilst all kinds of services (supermarkets, banks, railway station, horse riding, tennis, etc.) can be found in the close town of Poggibonsi (8 km).

Summary: The setting for this property was magical. The house, located on a hill overlooking valleys with small family farms, met all our needs during our 8 night stay. We enjoyed breakfasts in the dining area and used the property as a base as we explored Tuscany, Pisa, Lucca and Florence. This was the perfect place for us. The views from the master bedroom and the pool area, including sunsets, were like nothing I have seen in my life. We could not believe we were staying in such a wonderful place. The washing machine was used several times as we prepared to move on to the next leg of our journey. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable, and did I mention the views? Beautiful!

Summary: We hat a good time in a very nice, clean and well prepared house. We appreciated the silence and the well eintausend garden with the pool. The tenant was generous. We can recommend the location.

Summary: 14 days of use of this beautiful location. The photos shown are as reality is. Every day it was breathtaking to look out over the Tuscan landscapes from the balcony. As for the service at both check-in and check-out as well as during the stay, this is done neatly! Very friendly people! We will definitely continue to recommend this accommodation to acquaintances and friends and who knows, we may return ourselves! Small point of attention. The location (the road you have to drive into) is not shown on the navigation system, so you quickly drive past it. Perhaps a good idea to pay extra attention to this with regard to the route description.

Summary: We loved the location, very well positioned for day trips to San Gimignano, Certaldo, Lucca, Pisa, Florence. Although we were there in November, we still had sun and fair temperatures. We didn’t anticipate needing to pay extra for the heat, which we needed on the colder days. The grounds, pool, and views were really wonderful. The bathroom shower and all the floors could greatly benefit from a good washing, though, as well as the bedding. Kitchen was fine for cooking small meals here and there. We enjoyed using the indoor fireplace on colder evenings. We would recommend this villa for a couple or maybe a family with1 or 2 small children.

Summary: We loved our week in Brunello's cottage in the beautiful Tuscan countryside about 11 km north of San Gimignano. The cottage is well equipped and has 2 bedrooms, kitchen, lounge and dining area, and a terrace which is perfect for catching the afternoon and evening sun with something nice to drink. The garden and pool area is much more extensive than is obvious from the Vrbo listing, and is well provided with sun loungers, chairs, tables and sun shades. Our hosts Brunello and Beatrice were lovely people, helpful and a delight to deal with. Ulignano is the nearest village, and there is a small grocery shop there, but we found that the best supermarket is the Co-op in Certaldo about 15 minutes drive to the north which has everything that you need. The old town in Certaldo accessed by a funicular railcar didn't appear in our guide book but is lovely and well worth a visit. San Gimignano, Siena and Volterra are within easy reach by car. Overall, highly recommended.

Summary: Beautiful property, incredibly clean and well kept, the views are amazing. We felt like part of the local community, surrounded by beautiful olive groves and vineyards. Mr Brunello is very accommodating, we thank him for opening up his beautiful home allowing us to unwind for a week. The pool was a perfect place to relax and cool off under the Tuscan sun. We will certainly come back someday.

Summary: My wife and I booked a week stay beginning of June , we selected this small cottage because of its gardens and pool , we were not disappointed at all , the flowers were lovely and created a lovely ambience when chilling out around the pool with a glass of chianti , We were met by mr brunello and an interpreter, the hand over was easy and straightforward, The cottage was clean and tidy with everything you need for our stay , it has typical Italian wooden furniture, and was cozy , The view from the balcony at sunset is stunningly Beautiful, There are shops within driving distance nearby for your groceries, We love every minute of our stay, Tip - take mosquito spray , there are mosquitoes in the Tuscany area and we found this out the first night we ate out on the balcony , we both got bitten a few times but this was only a small inconvenience and did nothing to spoil our stay,
