Summary: As advertised, a quiet and comfortable rural wine country apartment (Agrotourism) surrounded by vineyards and above a wine aging cellar. Dozens of wineries and enoteca’s (local wine tasting and sales shops) in the area. The winery tour with the vineyard manager was a highlight of the stay. He and his wife were very accommodating hosts. The rural gravel roads are very dusty in hot dry weather. I was confused by Vrbo’s property summary of being close to the Montalcino town center. Their summary seems to be based on the owners’ listed business mailing address. Of course, being close to town center would be contradictory to the Agrotourism property designation.

Summary: A fantastic location, very near Altesino, Siena, and Montalcino. The views at sunset are perfect. The check in process was smooth, but the assistant only spoke Italian. I don’t speak much (just what I have picked up while here), but I was able to understand her and get by just fine.

Summary: Together with my wife, my cousins and their 2 year old, we had a a fabulous time that somehow met everyone’s best expectations. The property was out of the way with tons of open space for the little one to run around, and the adults had separate spacious quarters with ensuring bathrooms to get settled. The communal kitchen was a great place to cook and enjoy time together, and the wine tour coordinated for our first morning was flawless and personal. The groundskeeper went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we need and we enjoyed spending time with her! Great walks to take right from the grounds and the quiet surrounding the vineyard is unmatched. When went food shopping for dinner, we did need to pick up hand soap, dish soap, towels, etc so it was not fully stocked as a heads up, but when we asked for dish washer pods they were provided. Also laundry was easily coordinated in a separate area, but very comvenient. Thanks to all, it was a fabulous stay.

Summary: Quaint Tuscan farmhouse. A bit hard to find. Our navigation sent us in a different direction. But once we arrived it was Fun to experience the quiet countryside. Host was very helpful. The grounds keeper gave us a wonderful wine tour of their wine. Our only problem was the oven did not work, but the grounds keeper was kind enough to toast our bread. Had a fantastic meal and stay.

Summary: The property is exactly what you would expect from a villa in the Brunello wine region. The view was outstanding with grape vines all around. The villa is simple but well kept and also very authentic to the area. It is a place that you either plan to cook on your own or travel 10-15 minutes to a restaurant. We found sitting out on the terrace with cheese and a bottle of wine was a perfect place to be. We stayed during harvest so each day watched the tractor bringing in the grapes and were offered a tour of the facility where they were starting this year’s production. We took walks down the road in the evening past vines as far as you could see. The property manager was easy to access if necessary but we truly had everything we needed.

Summary: Nice get away place; very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful surroundings; located with vineyards adjacent the property; the manager was very helpful. If you're not into winding dirt roads, being in the country and isolation, this is not the place for you. If you enjoy peace and quiet and nice surroundings, this is your place. We would definitely go back.
