Positive: This lodge is a hidden gem. It sits up on the hill but is still quite easy to get to. The views are amazing as is the lodge itself. We had a corner room with two large windows. The bed, linens, and towels are top notch. The breakfast was delicious and offered a nice variety of choices. The main communal area where breakfast is served is lovely with lots of wood and huge windows and a large deck. Abby and her husband are great hosts and you can see the time and quality they have put into this lodge. Highly recommend staying here!
Negative: There was nothing at all that we didn’t like.

Positive: Stunning location and building. We received a very warm welcome and particularly appreciated the comforting log fire!
Negative: Only a minor point, but bathroom door was very squeaky, so disturbing during the night.

Positive: We stayed in the studio looking out over the forest towards the ocean. The bath is cantilevered into the trees and the kitchen facilities are superb. The hosts. left beautiful bread, honey, fruit compote, savoury tarts and muffins etc etc. A short distance into town and almost adjacent to the Driving Creek Railway, an experience not to be missed.
Negative: So good didn’t want to leave

Positive: An amazing place up in the bush. We were only there for the one night which happened to be our wedding anniversary. We were going out for dinner but recommended to be back for sunset at that proved to be a great recommendation. We sat on the veranda with a glass of wine enjoying a fabulous sunset. Such a relaxing end to the day. The room was fantastic with great views of Coromandel and breakfast was lovely with lots of home made additions too. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing stay.
