Positive: I had a nice basic room which is what I expected. Located a short walk to the beach, nearby restaurants and bars, the best of them is The Pentagon where I ate most nights. Close to the airport.

Negative: It suited me but others looking for more nightlife would probably go for the centre or coast on the north side of Goa. I rented a scooter to get around which I’d recommend. There are a few dogs around prone to barking with little provocation. That was annoying.

Positive: Room quite spacious and very clean. Good shower. Location good. Very quiet and peaceful at times. Most local people friendly. Supermarkets and restaurants close by. Even a place to get a proper massage. Really liked André family restaurant just up the road.

Negative: All the dogs roaming the streets and barking day and night. The obnoxious man at the scooter hire shop
