This Private House sits on 28 acres of tranquil peaceful Costa Rican jungle. The 4 bedroom 4 bathroom house has a beautiful serene pool and a beautiful view of the landscapes, the flora and fauna. Fourth Dimension villa is an Amazing place for yoga, meditation, mountain bike or just hiking surrounded by exotic nature and local wildlife. The villa features a Large open living area/great room situated at the center of the house with many windows to enjoy the views of nature and a fully-stocked kitchen. Each bathroom suite has its own private outdoor showers with built-in privacy walls, Ac and closet. It is located very close (10-15 minute drive) to groceries, shopping, restaurants, and many stunning sand beaches and surfing beaches. There is a delicious pizza restaurant/bar right at the bottom of our hill and a spa/hotel at the top of our hill.

Summary: Close to a lot of things but nice and private place to stay. Will stay there again.

Summary: Fabulous house and pool, monkeys in the trees, 20 min from Tamarindo beach. We loved being there! There were issues: when we arrived, there was only a tiny trickle of water from the kitchen sink, and no hot water anywhere. Plumber came next day and fixed the sink. There are 2 safes, neither worked. Washing machine is broken. Lots of scorpions, and two of us were stung, but we cut down the breeding population by squashing numerous big ones. There was a tarantula in my shower (we relocated her) and frogs in the toilet and a steady stream of ants. We spent 28 years in the rainforest of Hawaii, and don't fear bugs. Im just sayin’, the house clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time and we had to spend an annoying amount of time just sanitizing to make it habitable. The host is a terrifically nice person and im sure he has many skills, but housekeeping is not among them. I would still stay there again, but would know what i was getting into!

Summary: This is a very well designed and built house in a beautiful spot, perfect for nature lovers: you will hear monkeys howl and might even see one or two. However, unfortunately, it has not been well maintained. The owner is aware of that and I believe that things will be improved. Communication with the owner was excellent, he is aware of the issues that I raised and accomodated our requests. Since the house is in the middle of nature, expect some bugs (including scorpions - spray the doors to keep them out) and frogs (not poisounous) in the bathrooms and toilet bowls.

Summary: Great for large groups wanting seclusion and feeling of surrounded by nature. Away from all the noise. Monkeys are visiting daily.!

Summary: The good: The house set up is perfect for a group/ family with a room in each corner and a very large kitchen/ living area with a great pool/ views. You definitely feel like you are in Costa Rica! Outdoor showers- loved!! I have no issues with small bugs but do expect those in the showers. Cool AC in all four bedrooms. Great pizza at the bottom of the hill, and an amazing spa! Highly recommend the half spa day with lunch. Honestly one of our fave spa experiences ever, with amazing views, employees, food and shopping. A little CR gem for sure! What was lacking: Expect a rough drive into the house. Not a big deal to us at all, but it did wake up our 2 year old a couple of times driving in from a long day out. The house was not as clean as it could have been upon arrival- specifically, it needed a good mopping (all tile home) and our feet were black almost immediately. The kitchen was not as stocked as we expected. My husband is the chef and he mentioned needing items, and we had to share coffee mugs each morning. We lost water our first day there so we couldn’t shower before our first day out. It was back on by the evening. Not sure if this is common, but mentioning it since it affected our experience. Expect random visitors in the house! We saw large flying grasshoppers, a giant scorpion (they aren’t as poisonous as the smaller ones we have in the States, unless you are allergic), and a couple of frogs! I did not mind as much as others in my group :) Last- we did have to report some random things upon arrival like new batteries for the fan remote, new lightbulbs for several of the rooms, and more towels. Overall- it was a great house to experience the more rustic side of Costa Rica compared to the hotels we stayed in later in the trip, and I would definitely book again!!
