Positive: I liked the solitude. The staff was nice and seemed attentive.
Negative: I wasn't expecting a hike to my cabin or the outhouse situation. I likely just didn't read the website well enough. The paths were not even which was difficult to navigate in the dark as there was not enough lighting.

Positive: Stayed for one night in The Beech, was lovely & peaceful. We hiked up the mountain to the view point in the morning and took in the stunning views. Carrie was very welcoming.

Positive: property itself was clean and as depicted on booking.com. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Negative: Booking.com did not have the correct address and the property is in an area with no internet and poor cellular reception. I was fortunate that Carrie called me back while in an area that I could receive the call. I was also told that the path back to the cabin would be lit with solar lights when I returned after dark. There were maybe two small lights that did very little, if anything, to light the way. Fortunately the lights on our phones were working.
