Summary: This quaint cozy cabin provided a rustic atmosphere complete with a wood burning stove. It was close enough to Acadia and yet removed from the crowds. It was set back on a hill above a busy road across from a lake which was perfect for an evening dip. Beal’s Lobster Pound in Southwestern Harbor was outstanding. Lulu’s Lobster Boat was fabulous, a real hit with the grandkids.

Summary: It was a great cabin with woods behind it to explore, and it was right near so much of Acadia National Park. Front porch had an awesome lake view, too. As another reviewer said, it's not great if you plan to spend a lot of time in the cabin. There are no ceilings, so sound travels really well between the rooms, which for us meant we had to go to sleep when our kids did. The only form of heat is a wood-burning stove, which we didn't feel comfortable using with our toddler. So if you plan for those things, it's a great stay. With the location, you shouldn't be spending too much time in the cabin anyway.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Clean. Well stocked kitchen if you like to cook. Host was quick to respond and accommodating. You will be able to swim from echo lake by crossing the road but if you want to go hiking it will be a drive. You should feel comfortable making a fire if you are coming during a cooler time since the wood stove is the source of heating.

Summary: The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed. The fact that it had Wifi made things seamless as we planned what we'd do each day and how to get there. It's within easy driving distance from Bar Harbor. where we had great meals and enjoyed the shops and the Abbe Museum.

Summary: This was the perfect cabin to set as a home base for our exploration in Acadia! There is a busy road pretty close which we noticed the first night to be pretty loud but after the first day you didn’t even notice it! The wood stove came in handy for the cold nights especially if you know how to use it! One room has a full bed and the other is two twins which didn’t bother us. It was the perfect central location to head into bar harbor (about 15 minutes) or anywhere in Acadia! Perfect vacation

Summary: This was a cute little property and great for our stay! Pepper left great instructions and the check-in/check-out process was breeze. I will say, if you are planning on spending any time in the cabin, this may not be the cabin for you. We spent most of our trip hiking and sightseeing, and we were only in the cabin during the evenings. The seating options are limited, and I think anyone spending the day at the cabin may not find it comfortable.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin The woodstove worked great to heat the entire cabin and was easy to get the fire going. The location was very good, close to everything, but away from the traffic and congestion of the other side of the island. We would stay again.
