Positive: The property was lovely, no faults or complaints. It has everything you could want. There was a strange man wandering around the outside of the cottage in the early hours of the morning on both nights we stayed there, it was a bit disconcerting as my brother had gone outside to look at the stars, heard rustling and shined the torch at a man who was standing still staring right into the property and very close by. Saw him a few other times both nights as well but never during daylight - posting this as I am wondering if this was an owner checking on the place or something that the owner should be mindful of?

Positive: The house was clean and very comfortable, and had clearly just been newly renovated/decorated. There was lots of space, including a great open plan kitchen/living room, and a utility room and cloakroom that were handy for all our walking things. Kitchen was very well equipped, beds comfortable, good showers (also a bath which was nice after a long day out on the hill). Beautiful location looking out onto Loch Linnhe, and with a little beach just over the road (ideal if you can brave the cold water for a swim!). Inchree Falls very close by as well with lots of good footpaths and scenery. Also enjoyed proximity to the Onich Hotel which has a bar/restaurant and terrace with great views open to the public.
Negative: Only some very minor negative points: Other than the hotel there are no other amenities in walking distance, but this is common in the Highlands- the scenery was well worth this minor inconvenience! Wifi dropped in and out quite a lot - this was fine for us as we were out most of the time and had decent phone signal anyway but wouldn't want to be relying on it for anything. Hot water supply wasn't always on - you could turn it on again for instant hot water but it wasn't super obvious how to do this on the control panel, could have been slightly clearer.
Summary: All in all the perfect place to spend a long weekend with family.

Positive: Cairn Cottage was a perfect property - great location, was excellently equipped, beautifully decorated, amazing facilities and with stunning views across Loch Linnhe and Craig was a brilliant host.
