Gorgeous in any season. Enjoy the winter sports offered in the area, or simply cosy up by the fire and observe the many birds that call this place home or come through as part of their annual migration. Go for a springtime drive to take in the unfolding beauty of the Ottawa Valley with its many charming towns and breathtaking landscapes. Live it up in the summer and enjoy swimming, boating, and fishing in deep, pristine Calabogie Lake, or simply relax and enjoy the sunshine and many mature trees on the property. Immerse yourself in Autumn colours and textures and curl up with a good book or movie at the end of an invigorating day. There is always something to do! Or - if it’s more your speed - you can do nothing at all and simply enjoy the surroundings.

Summary: I will start by saying that Sarah was lovely throughout all of our communication.It started when we arrived on December 25 and the temperature at the home was 63 degrees F. I did notice an error message and immediately contacted Sarah. She did send someone over right away but as it turned out the furnace was broken and couldn’t be fixed until Friday. ( a repairman came out around 7 on the 25th.He did leave a couple of space heater’s and Sarah did offer on the 26th to bring more but we declined and decided to make the best of the situation). On top of the heating situation we did not a leak from the roof near the smallest bedroom. I did let Sarah know, but nothing was addressed re: the leak. Last but not least, we were prepared for sulphur in the water but the sulphur smell was so strong that after my daughter took a shower, we all decided not to use the shower. I’m not sure if the sulphur smell is always this strong or if there was an issue with the well.It was quite the stay we were imagining but despite some setbacks we enjoyed our time as a family.

Summary: The cottage was lovely and spacious, with plenty of extra linens and a portable cot. Our group of 8 had plenty of space.It had a beautiful view of the lake and was a suitable distance from the ski hill (about a 10 minute drive).The living room with fireplace, and adjoining sitting room, were a fantastic places to sit and relax.The kitchen was enormous and well stocked. Unfortunately the hot tub, which had been a desired amenity after a day of skiing, did not work.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay as a family of 6 very much. The weather for this time of year was unusually mild and wet, so we could not enjoy the typical outdoor winter activities, but the cottage/ home was very clean, welcoming and spacious. The hosts are very friendly and respond to messages in a very timely manner.

Summary: My wife and I had a fantastic week at the residence. The house was fantastic. It is a beautiful setting on a beautiful lake, very private. The hosts were very responsive to our needs. Calabogie it self is a great small town with very good restaurants. The lake was fantastic. Swimming was great, Fishing was great. We could not rate this rental any lower than absolutely superb.

Summary: The property and house are beautiful and very conveniently located. Sarah was a great host and very communicative. It was well-stocked with kitchen essentials, cookware etc. Some small things could be improved to make it a 10/10 experience: two burners on the stove not functioning properly; BBQ had to be well-cleaned by us before use; cushions were left out in rain so we had to dry them for a day or so before we could use; more chairs for the dock area would be nice. Overall it was a great stay and one of the nicer cottage properties we have rented.

Summary: We had a fantastic weekend at this property. Plenty of space inside and out for a large group. Direct access to the lake was a bonus. Proximity to Calabogie Motorsports Park was fantastic, such a great place to come back to after a day of racing.
