Positive: We enjoyed the location, fantastic kitchen, big pans, and top of the line stove. Lots of well-placed hooks for hanging wet outdoor gear, that was so appreciated. Loved that each room had its own bathroom.
Negative: The kettle was a bit difficult to pour from.
Summary: Would stay again, great for groups.

Positive: The location of Callart View is excellent with spectacular views out to the Loch. Easy reach to Ben Nevis for our walk. Having an ensuite in each room works well with groups of friends.
Negative: Kitchen is a bit on the small side, especially with the doors opening into the kitchen. If someone is cooking, it's a bit tight for others to be in the kitchen helping out. Need some better wine glasses ;-) Dining room lighting is a bit harsh so we took a couple of bedside lights from a couple of the rooms to soften the light.
Summary: Great location, good property just needs a couple of tweaks to be better

Positive: The location was spectacular and the view from the property was exceptional.
Negative: We had no keys during the stay so had to lock the door internally and use the window for access. The property was certainly not clean. There was a childs sock in one of the beds, The oven and dishwasher were dirty, with an unwashed frying pan in the washer, cobwebs in the bathroom. We found a used tissue on one of the sofas and there was a lack of hand soap in the dispensers. The towels were not fresh or very tired. The mattresses in all the beds were uncomfortable, you could feel the springs when you laid down. There was no vacuum cleaner. Finally the garden was so overgrown that the property photos on the website didn't look like it at all. Oh, and every indoor plant, bar one, was dead.
Summary: Lovely location let down by too many faults.

Positive: The house is in a very nice location, will great views to the loch and close to grocery stores, gas station... the heating was on when we arrived and the house was already warm and cosy.
Negative: The code of the key box when we arrived was wrong - we had to call to the emergency phone to get the right code. It was a stressful moment as we were a kayak school with a few teenagers, we arrived late and night and had no alternative on where to go!
Summary: Brilliant in every sense except for that brief panic moment with the key box.

Positive: Location was wonderful, house needs to be repaired and more attention to detail required.
Negative: Firstly the sign to property was missing (fallen down), made it difficult to see correct property. We even tried to fix. Two of the showers only had cold water and couldn’t be repaired during our stay. One of the beds was well worn and lumpy, we ended up using our own blow up mattress. Outside area was littered with rubbish from previous visitors. Gardens were over grown. Instructions and rules folder was filed in the bookcase, should have been left visible.
