A peaceful and comfortable cottage to enjoy your Hawkes bay adventures from.
The house is built in the 1950's with a fresh beachy minimal interior. The kitchen and bathroom are in their original style with 1950's retro. The home has a breakfast table in the kitchen with a table and bench seating- such a perfect spot to drink coffee and catch the morning sun. Then the larger living room includes a 6 seater sofa, large dinging table by and NZ designer and iconic Warmington Studio Fire.
In keeping with the beachy style of the home there is no TV however theres unlimited wireless should you need it.
There are two bedrooms (a king and double) and a third room which is a communal space but has a single bed and day bed (which a small child could sleep on).
The property is fully fenced and has a grassed front and rear lawn.

Summary: We loved our stay here. Clean and comfortable with a lovely family beach cottage feel. Fairly recently decorated and fabulous wooden floors. Well equipped for a simple unfussy getaway.

Summary: We really enjoyed the location, the layout of the house and the spaciousness of it, also that it had great kitchen equipment. It really served us well. Unfortunately it was not clean upon arrival. After a long drive to Napier, we vacuumed the very dusty floors and a very dusty (and stained) couch with a lot of debri under the cushions. Also, the kitchen floor was really dirty. We tried to find a mop and the only mop had a spare new mophead in the laundry, but it didn't fit. Also, there was no spray and wipe. So we bought a new mophead and a refil bottle of spray and wipe that we used while there and left the rest behind. It was nice to see the place was environmentally friendly with their supplied products. I took the liberty to remove a net curtain in the front bedroom with black mould on it and left it in the laundry. The lights in the lounge flickered a lot and the bulb was dead in the dining room. As they are large bulbs, I wasn't sure where to get a replacement. There was chewing gum stuck on the door handle in the kitchen and mouse poo under the kitchen window squab. So, we did a bit of a spring clean and then we felt great. Nice pottery in the cupboards, that we admired while there. To be fair it is a really great place to stay and we loved being there. Nice and airy and light. There was a sticker on the toilet roll when we arrived that said Gem Cleaning Services, so it may be that the property manager needs to give them some feedback.

Summary: The property, in general, was a lovely- relaxed and calm feel within the place. I personally loved the interior. Do feel that there was maintaince needed within the bathroom (low shower pressure and the enclosed space of the shower) and outside area (they did previously have a heavy rainfall for several days prior to our stay). Neighborhood seemed relaxed and quiet. We did run into one issue where the internet didn't work. However, the property manager recitified the situation.Overall, we did enjoy our stay.

Summary: Great location but could do with a deep clean (cobwebs on the ceilings, dusty light shades, couch quite stained). Bedroom with the plane light could do with having a net curtain as window directly faces next doors deck and neighbour was out there quite a bit so curtains had to be kept closed. Lights in the lounge flickered quite a bit and the shower curtain could do with replacing. But overall a lovely house, just needs a bit of tlc. Area was great location and nice quiet street, and good value for money, would recommend.

Summary: This place was everything I'd hoped. Super cozy, warm and felt just like home. Stayed with my 1yo and 5 yo. No TV was actually amazing! The quality time we all had together was incredible, and meant everything to me. The location is perfect, as kids could walk to the aquarium and play parks no problem. All the shops walking distance as well. Sarah was fab at communicating with us. I'd stay here again! Also loved the beds! So comfy. We never wanted to leave.
