Summary: We always enjoy staying at Cambria Pines lodge. The breakfast is very good and the staff is excellent. The cocktail bar is the best and always a lot of fun. The restaurant is wonderful for dinner. As a writer, I also find one of the most interesting aspects are the fellow guests.

Summary: Just stayed one night for a stopover on a road trip up CA 1. We chose this instead of the coast as it's closer to town and wanted a more tranquil stay. Stayed in a room with a garden view but no balcony. It had what we needed with lots of space. It had a mini fridge with a small freezer that worked quite well. Super clean with easy parking. The restaurant on site was pretty good and very convenient. They had a special upgrade for dinner which we took advantage of. My seabass was very good, although my husband's steak was a little tough but tasty. The portions were generous. Too much for me to finish. Great value. Service was excellent. After walking the site I saw little cottages, etc that would be great for a larger family. You can walk to town, but there are stairs/hills. I didn't do it but saw some who did. I'm not sure how long it would take. It's a great option if you aren't staying on the coast.

Summary: When we first arrived, we were put into a family room, supposedly for the three of us, platonic friends. However, the dirty old sofa, the Murphy bed and the sole provided regular bed did not even fit with the Murphy bed pulled down. So we asked for another room. The second place we were given, then, was much cleaner and renovated. It wasn’t optimal for us, as two of us had to share one bed, which was not what we’d originally paid for. However, we were happy with it, though we weren’t given a reduction in room charge that we asked for. The general staff was great! Welcoming and personable, present when needed. The free breakfast buffet was so nice, and the option of eating it outside in beautiful weather, in their gorgeous gardens and gazebos, was so very appreciated. We loved our stay there and, if down in Cambria or vicinity again, will definitely stay again. The grounds

Summary: The amenities are poor. Coffee in the room had to be made with a bag similar to a tea bag. The creamer currdled. The beds were nice. The bar was loud so we couldn’t talk at all. Water was served in a cheap plastic cup. The grounds were pretty, but I won’t return.

Summary: Great bar tender. Large room and very quiet. The rooms need to be cleaned better. There was a Giant black widow behind our couch! Everything besides that was great
