Summary: We had an enjoyable family weekend and the house was clean and provided everything we needed. It was within close driving proximity to shops and attractions, and provided us with a relaxing place to holiday. Our toddler also enjoyed visits from the friendly neighbourhood dogs. The showers were a bit hit or miss, but that was minor and didn't impact our stay. We'd love to come back in Summer and take full advantage of the house and location.

Summary: As we’ve said in the title, the property is pretty pricey. Yes, there is a spa pool, sauna and kayaks. It’s on an estuary so it’s tidal, which is also fine. However, the property is pretty dated, the shower upstairs is terrible to use and needs fixed and the list of rules that come with the accommodation are way overboard for those who know how to treat someone else’s property. We also had to clean a couple of cupboards and the hob when we first arrived, as someone before us had cooked fish, so there was a terrible smell and the hob had not been cleaned at all. The private access road getting to the property is full of deep potholes, which although good as children play communally and dogs are often walking through the area, it’s also quite an uncomfortable drive. Like I said above, for the age and upkeep of the property , we feel it’s overpriced. We chose the property as it was available for the dates we wanted. However, we did question why it was available when everything else we searched for was fully booked. If we were to go to Nelson again, which we will at some point, we would not choose to stay at this accommodation again. We have discussed this with the caretakers of this property so what I’m writing here is not new information to them. They did offer to clean the kitchen when we discovered the smell (we let them know so they wouldn’t think it was us who caused it!) and were very responsive and helpful during our stay. Yes the weather wasn’t great when we were there but that didn’t change our opinions of this property.

Summary: Lots of space , great kitchen , great views, lively hot tub. People walking across the grass between front of house and water was rather disturbing and local dogs emptying bins was rather frustrating. Some areas and equipment showing their age but otherwise lovely. Fantastic response from Jarrod and team to resolve sauna issue - thanks.

Summary: This was a very special house in a magical setting, particularly first thing in the morning walking along the beach. The living space in the house was excellent. Our family group all managed to find areas for quiet time or being together. The neighbours dogs were delightful - and polite, however, they did manage to push the dustbin over each day.

Summary: Lovely Property! Very clean, tidy and relaxing. Lovely being so close to the waters edge and having access to the kayaks. Me and my friends had a blast! Would definitely stay there again. Thank you to the lovely property owners for being so accommodating.
