2 Bedroom House in Big Sandy

Kaleidoscope Ranch offers camels, critters, and 4 beautiful cabins located on 60 acres. The property is rolling green hills, pastures and wooded areas. Miniature horses, donkeys and Alpacas wander freely and graze right around the cabins. They love people and are always up for petting and selfies. The cabins are individually themed and totally unique. Each has a large covered porch with seating and spacious views that make you feel like you are in a world of your own. Picnic tables scatter the area if you are ready for a picnic. Fully equipped kitchens with everything you need to cook and dine, or visit restaurants in Gilmer, Hawkins or Big Sandy. Linens and towels provided. The Family room has a TV that is only connected to a DVD player, DVDs, games, and books are provided for your enjoyment. No wifi but you won't miss it, most guests say is was a welcome break from technology. Instead, you can unplug and hike with the wandering donkeys and horses. Brush the camels, Delilah loves it! Cuddle draft horses, alpacas, goats, and the mini pig. Come fish in our small pond, we have bass. This isn't your typical vacation rental house, this is an amazing experience that guests don't soon forget.

The space
This cabin boasts five full-sized beds across two open-style bedrooms, with two beds in one room and three in the other. Downstairs is one full bathroom and located upstairs is a half bath, as well.

The property is very hilly so bring comfy old tennis shoes/ boots/ rain boots. It's always a good idea to pack a sweatshirt and light jacket. Extra socks and clothes are always a good plan. Don't bother dressing fancy!

Summary: Beautiful property with lots of animal's. Which are so friendly, cabin was large enough for our party of 4 but could fit more.

Summary: We stayed at the Red Cabin with our four kids and they LOVED it! They got to play with the animals, learn about them, partake in some farming chores and enjoy nature FOR ONCE without a screen in their faces. They didn’t want to leave and are already begging to come back. Word of advice: Bring tall boots, or, at the very least, comfortable closed-toed shoes because you’ll do a decent amount of walking through fields.

Summary: This our second time to stay at kaleidoscope ranch. We have loved it both time. Love the cabins. Love the animals. Robyn is wonderful. We appreciate being able to stay at her place! The donkeys and horses are great!

Summary: My children and i lucked out and found one of Robin's cabins available a week before the eclipse because someone had cancelled. I cant express how much of a drem that was. My very spacious cavin overlooked the hills of east texas on her 60 acre property. The cabins are clean and well stocked and Robin is available and easy to communicate with. Her animals are friendly and most roam the property freely. She allows everyone at feeding times and she is an inspiration. We also have a farm so we felt right at home. The other cabins had families also so my kids had others to hang out with and they never got bored. There is a fun playground that keeps the kids outdoors. I would go back tonight if i could!

Summary: We enjoyed a 2-night stay at the property. Robin was quick with her communication and helped answer any questions. She was very inviting and even welcomed us to join her when she fed the animals. The inside of the cabin was clean and very nice. I even caught a couple of small bass in the pond (and of course a big one got away!).

Summary: We had a fun and relaxing time at this ranch! The animals are awesome and Ms. Robin and Haley (sp?) we awesome! They were patient and answered questions. You can tell they love the animals and have put so much time and energy into making this vrbo a place that people will want to come back to! We will DEFINITELY be back!

Summary: I have 3 nephews that I took for a short getaway - ages 16, 13 and 9. They loved this!! This is so much more than a cabin to rent. ROBIN is the best hostess! She took them all over the farm, included them in all her chores and had patience for all their questions. It was secluded and definitely a time to unplug. We put together a puzzle provided in the cabin, had scrambled eggs each morning provided by the chickens and just wandered around the property. The 9yo loved brushing the camels (actually, we all did), the oldest enjoyed his time at the pond fishing, and the 13yo loved it all! Robin, it’s obvious that this your love and passion and you want to bless others by what brings you joy. Thank you for sharing with us!
