Newly constructed in 2014 and located down a private drive, the house features an open-concept living/dining room and a modern kitchen with new appliances as well as a game area in a 6-sided turret on the 700 sq foot first floor. A curved-oak stairway rises to the second floorโ€™s three bedrooms, capable of sleeping 6, and a large bathroom with a small washer/dryer. The master bedroom 6-sided turret area offers breath-taking views of Grand Manan , 6 miles away. Outside, covered porches extend the length of the southern (ocean) and northern (forest) sides of the house, plus an uncovered sun-deck off the ocean-side porch.
Enjoy outstanding oceanfront views either from the house or from the rocky point with small, spruce-lined coves on either side. A 10 minute walk on a forest trail down the islandโ€™s eastern shore takes you to Herring Cove Park with its 2 km (1 mile) long beach and 9-hole golf course. Nearly 25 km (15 miles) of hiking trails are available in Herring Cove Park and adjoining Roosevelt/Campobello International Park โ€“ a total of over 1,500 hectares (nearly 4,000 acres) of preserved parkland. Enjoy wildlife (eagles, seals, occasional whales and dolphins), island activities (hiking, golfing, kayaking, cycling, Roosevelt Cottage, whale watching), restaurants on the island or in Lubec, Maine, or just relax watching the 22-foot Fundy tides rise and fall..

Summary: This was our fifth stay at this property. As always, the house is clean, well-equipped with paper goods, condiment basics, and cooking utensils. The beds are comfortable and had good linens. The location is so very private that you feel like you are the only people around. The wildlife is abundant, so keeping binoculars at the ready is a good idea. We plan to return next year!

Summary: What an amazing property! The views of the Bay of Fundy are incredible with Grand Manan just in the distance. Saw quite a few eagles flying nearby, some seals and a sea otter or two that seem to make their home nearby. Very short walk to Herring Cove Beach which was beautiful. The house was amazing, super-clean and comfortable. Bill was very supportive and responsive, just an overall fantastic stay! Thanks!!

Summary: We enjoyed another wonderful stay at this lovely home that sits at the edge of the ocean. The stay is never long enough and we always hate to leave. Lots of eagles, loons, sea birds, seals, and this year, river otters. Getting over the border from the US was much less complicated than in 2021. The kitchen, as always, is well equipped and has basic items like condiments, food wraps, and coffee filters. The furniture is comfortable. Two of the three bedrooms look out to the ocean, so you can hear the waves hit the shore throughout the day and night. We can't wait to come back for a fifth stay!

Summary: When you walk into this wonderful house for the first time you are greeted by a large soothing great room with big windows and a breathtaking view of the Bay of Fundy with Grand Manaan Island in the distance. It is absolutely stunning. We saw eagles flying right by us every day. What a wonderful comfortable house on a lovely island.

Summary: We rented this amazing home as part of a family reunion on Campobello Island. When she walked in the front door, our new daughter-in-law couldn't stop exclaiming, "Wow! Wow!" The view was incredible -- rocky shoreline, trees growing out of the top of rocks, waves crashing, deep blue ocean, and the hulk of Grand Manan Island in the distance, with majestic sky above all. The house is impeccably clean, rooms are well sized, kitchen modern, and the bedrooms catching the ocean breezes. Everything was in great working order. The most fascinating feature of the house is the custom designed wooden stairway which was a work of art, curving its way to the second floor, calling us to run our hands along its silky smooth bannister. We carried our coffee onto the deck and even down to the "bold" rocks to lose ourselves in the sight, sound, smell of God's majestic creation. We saw whales and seals from the porch. Lots to do in the area -- Herring Cove Golf course, attending Eleanor's Tea, visiting lighthouses, taking a whale watching and fishing expedition, catching the ferry from Welshpool to Deer Island, hiking to Liberty Point, and driving to Friar's Head for sunsets. Definitely hope to return!

Summary: We had a wonderful two weeks at this lovely home on edge of the ocean. It is peaceful, isolated, and well-appointed. Due to Co-vid restrictions, we never left the island. We had brought most of our own food, but the local village store supplied a good assortment of items needed, including produce, baked goods and wine/alcohol. We had a unexpected vehicle repair needed. Coastline Auto Repair did a wonderful and quick job fixing our brakes. My husband injured his Achilles tendon, the pharmacy had several style of braces that provided him relief. We saw a variety of seabirds, including osprey, gannets, gulls, and bald eagles. We spotted two different kinds of seals almost every day from the windows or deck overlooking the water. Three dolphin swam by on our last day. The view of the full moon rising out of the ocean is a sight that won't be forgotten.
