Summary: Booked on seeing a pic of renovated room online and assumed the entire hotel was modernized. Front desk staff very friendly/ helpful- no complaints. Room was as pictured - modern, no carpet. Bathroom was so small you had to stand in the tub to close the door- perhaps a barn door over the entire sink/ bathroom would have been better eliminating the need for a swing door. The smell of damp mildew / smoke throughout from the very old carpet in the remainder of the hotel was however overpowering- hurt throat - had to leave window in room open as big as it would go to breathe and could still smell it. Running the heating unit only made things worse. Wouldn’t stay again unless further Reno’s were done to remove all the old carpeting/ odors.

Summary: The room was very clean and the beds are super comfortable. We were in the "junior suite" so were at the end of the hall and it was super quiet. I did wish the frig had a freezer compartment though. The water had to run for at least 15 minutes to get warm so that was a bit inconvenient. We didn't get back to the hotel until almost 11 Friday and Saturday nights and the lunge was closed which surprised me. Location was great because we were at the dog show at the CRE Thurs-Sun.

Summary: The room was clean but would sometimes smell like cigarette smoke. We couldn’t figure out if it was coming from another room or outside.

Summary: Staff are all wonderful. I’ve stayed here many nights during work and even though some minor things happened, they fixed it right away. They’re friendly and accommodating. The property is older and it’s not a high end hotel but it’s cozy and safe and very reasonably priced. I have had quite awful experiences at 2 other hotel franchises in Camrose so when I’m back, this will be my home while I’m away from home.
