Located just outside the charming city of Waldport, Captain Arnold is the perfect getaway for small to medium-size parties planning their next Oregon Coast vacation.
There are five bedrooms and one converted bedroom in the garagewith a bunk bed, spread out over 2,700 square feet. The gourmet kitchen, which has been furnished with new appliances, has plenty of counter space andis sure to be a hit with the foodies in your party. For those who would rather play at the beach until the dinner bell rings, the dining room table is big enough for the whole party. We haven’t forgotten the kids, both old and young. The garage has a ping pong table and it a great place for the kids! Between the hot tub, the fire pit, or the cozy living room, there is always a great place to spend the evening, no matter the weather.
During the day, private beach access is your gateway to miles of sandy beaches. Just about 50 yards from the house, a small tidal creek running through the sand is just begging to be explored. And it’s all just seconds from the back door of this stunning Oregon Coast home.

Summary: What a wonderful property in an incredible location! Our family fell in love with Captain Arnold from the moment we arrived. Everything is very high quality, perfectly clean and has that cozy feel. It is even better than in the pictures. Just perfect for us and we will definitely be back!

Summary: We loved our time here with our adult children & their spouses! 5 bedrooms with king or queen beds. Updated bathrooms and well-appointed kitchen. Loved the deck, hot tub with ocean view, and the fire pit. Close to Waldport, Newport and Yachats. We will definitely stay here again!

Summary: The house was so lovely and exactly as described. The kitchen was extremely well stocked except for forks. The two dishwashers helped. The view was incredible and better than even imagined with the big windows. We only had two complaints about the house - the upstairs south shower doesn't drain and there are several window screens need to be fixed. Loved the house and would stay there again anytime.

Summary: Captain Arnolds did not disappoint. Spectacular home in a beautiful setting. Close enough to the sights and attractions but remote enough to have solitude. There were eight of us, four from California and four from Washington State...kind of like a family reunion....aunts and nephew's family. We ranged from 21 to 74 years of age and had a great time over the four-day period. We enjoyed the amenities such as the hot tub, the ping-pong table and the jigsaw puzzles. The kitchen is huge and well stocked...we particularly appreciated the stock of condiments and spices, since a grocery store is not exactly close-by. The property manager was quick to respond to issues that we reported...minor repairs that were handled the same day. Would we come again? In a heartbeat.

Summary: This property had it all for our annual family beach trip! There were 10 of us, and we were all very comfortable. We had a few snafus, which weren't a big deal overall: the washing machine was out of order, which would have been no problem, had we been informed before we arrived. We would have packed differently had we known we couldn't wash clothes during our stay! Also, the heat stopped working right in the middle of our stay. The property manager quickly had someone out to the house, and although he couldn't fix the heater, he brought us 2 space heaters, which did a decent enough job for the remainder of our stay. We had to be careful of where we plugged in the heaters, though, because we would blow the fuse if we plugged them both in the same room! I thought it strange that after they brought the space heaters, no one checked in with us to make sure we were getting warm (it's a big house!). It all worked out, and we really did enjoy our vacation. There were definitely enough beds/bedrooms, all comfortable, and everything was very clean. The beach access is stellar, private access exclusively for this house, and easy for everyone in our family to get down to the beach. The kitchen is huge and well stocked. We sunned ourselves on the deck, even though it was cold and windy, it was very sunny for the first part of our stay. We even enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard! Lots of comfortable chairs! The hot tub was clean with a beautiful view. Overall, we loved the home!
