Positive: Very peaceful ! Enjoyed the surrounding nature watching the seals and sea otters and binoculars were provided. Nice shared kitchen area with coffee and light snacks. Would definitely recommend!

Positive: We love staying here because the views are amazing and the Sail Away room is so romantic!! So much wildlife to see. The innkeeper made us feel special by sharing a glass of bubbly with us when we arrived. Coffee in the room was delicious to sip as we gazed out the large windows at the view. We will definitely be back!
Negative: Only drawback is that there is not much to do that’s within walking distance.

Positive: Location is nice to get away from it all. 5 mins from Salinas River State Park. Landscape is nice.
Negative: Beds are very uncomfortable. No AC, no wall unit, and the provided plug in fan would not run more than 30 secs.

Positive: The view of the Elkhorn Sough from the room was great. The character of the room, with the sailing theme, was nice, and appreciated how it was developed throughout the facility in other spaces. The outdoor spaces were also nice, though maybe a grill would have been good to give guests a way to cook besides a common microwave.
Negative: This is a post-COVID zombine bnb. Was probably a nice place before, but has become a shell since. Decent facilities on the surface, but little substance or service. Ridiculous price gouging. Apparently it was "car week," which wasn't clearly explained. When I booked, I thought the ~$500 per night was an indicator of quality. I was sorely mistaken. I would compare this to a slightly funky stylistically version of Best Western, and should be priced comparably. This place has minimal service--there's a housekeeper that comes once a day and cleans and takes care of the property, but otherwise if you call you'll talk to someone who isn't anywhere near and won't come to assist. When I called to ask where there were cups or plates in the kitchen area, they told me to wait an hour plus until the housekeeper came to clean. The check in documents they send implore guests not to leave bad reviews, but to contact them. I called three times for various things, and received little help. Twice they promised a supervisor would contact me about a concern, and I was never contacted. Disappointing--I regret spending my money here.

Not only the check out was outrageously early, we were asked to leave all the dishes washed - is this a hotel or an AirBnB?
