Summary: This was a reasonably-sized, reasonably-priced studio apartment for two people. The location is great across from the garden and close to all sorts of shops. We had everything we needed there.

Summary: I stayed at Mike & Estelle's studio for six nights, as a practical stop-over while I looked for a longer-term lease elsewhere in Tahiti. It was perfect for my purposes. It was clean, secure, comfortable and well-equipped, and that was everything I needed at that point in my travels. I didn't meet Mike, but Estelle is a most excellent host. They definitely gave me my privacy, but Estelle was very helpful when I asked for local information about options for lodging and transportation. This studio is in the heart of Pape'ete with a beautiful view of the harbor and public park across the street. It's only a 20-minute walk (1.5 km) to the Mo'orea Ferry Terminal and there are plenty of restaurants and shops within that same radius. The only negative thing I could say, is that while it's very quiet to sleep at night, the traffic noise on the main road in front of the studio will have you awake pretty early. I'm an early riser, so that didn't bother me at all. I find the hustle-bustle of city life to be invigorating. Here's a positive note, to offset the traffic noise. This studio comes with a washer & dryer, and that is an absolute luxury when traveling. Loved that !! So I definitely recommend this studio if you're looking for something centrally located in Pape'ete. Mike & Estelle will make sure you have everything you need.
