WELCOME to our beautiful Caribbean “piece of paradise”, Villa de las Sirenas (House of the Mermaids). There are breath-taking ocean views, your own private pool and a beautifully landscaped yard. The property is completely fenced to ensure your privacy and safety. We provide dusk to dawn on property security.
This is a beautifully custom-built villa with 5 bedrooms that will comfortably sleep 12 people and 5 full baths (one outside by the pool for your convenience). It is within walking distance of the ocean front beach, a convenience store, several restaurants and bars, Ocean World (a mini sea world that children will love) and a full-service marina.
The rental fee includes a professional, attentive and amazing full-time staff to make your vacation perfect. At no additional cost, this includes a Chef, housekeeper and gardener and pool attendant. The staff is trustworthy, kind, fun and you will love them. Imagine having all of your meals prepared, your beds made daily, all of your personal needs attended to, your excursions designed and customized for you and your family and/or guests. Your transportation to and from the airport will be arranged. No worries, no hassle!!
Enjoy the private pool while you lounge in the sun surrounded by luscious, manicured, tropical garden areas. If you prefer, take a 2-minute walk to Cofresi beach and play in the warm, rolling waves.
Tania, our talented villa chef, will prepare and cook just about anything your heart desires, including delicious Dominican cuisine. We have a culinary guide that will help you determine what food and beverage you will need to purchase. Your food will be fresh and properly washed for consumption. To purchase your food you can send Tania with money to the grocery store to buy food of your choosing, including liquor, beer and wine, or you can accompany her to the store to purchase your food and beverage. A trip to the gocery store with Tania is always a fun exprience.
In addition to Tania, included in our staff is an assistant housekeeper, a pool/gardener/errand person, an excursion and event planner and a security guard. Our property and staff manager, Gabino, (who speaks very good English) will arrange taxis or transportation. Gus (not part of our staff) will drop by to offer you an array of excursions that will be customized for you and your party. Gus can also arrange (and we highly recommend) massages and/or other spa treatments right in the privacy of this beautiful villa by the pool or up on our veranda listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean and enjoying the cool sea breeze.
Recommended and closest airport is POP (Puerto Plata). The closest alternative is STI (Santiago). We can arrange transportation to and from either airport. Transportation from STI is a more expensive, but no rental car is needed. The cost of taxi and transportation is not included in the rental fee.
In advance of your arrival, several emails will be sent with detailed information regarding our villa, staff, excursions, house rules, transportation and your culinary options. This will help answer any questions and make your vacation in paradise a dream come true.

Summary: My family and I spent 5 days at this lovely Villa with amazing ocean views from every balcony and the amazing outdoor space. The villa is exactly as detailed and pictured in the listing. The pool is large and absolutely sparkling clean. The on-site staff keeps the villa and pool clean, there were no bugs or spiders which in the DR is pretty common. The Stevens were very accommodating allowing me to book at the last minute. They immediately provided all the information on the villa, the staff, location, wifi password, transportation, and meal options. They truly thought of everything. I can not say enough about the outdoor space, the only minor negative is being so close to the lifestyles resort which can be loud at times however that would not stop me from returning to this villa again. We felt completely safe but having private overnight security was an added bonus. I honestly am amazed at the price of this huge immaculately clean Villa with amazing ocean views and a full staff that cooks all your meals and cleans daily, it seems to good to be true but it was and I will definitely return. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with my Family and I.

Summary: The house was beautiful and clean. Pool was fabulous and definitely the highlight. Shower heads need to be cleaned to increase water flow. Mosquitoes were out of control. Staff were lovely and helpful. The biggest issue for this place is the area. The beach is terrible. Dirty and smells of sewage. It is not convenient or cost effective for groceries. Not a lot of options for eating out or shopping. We were a large group with kids both young and teenagers. It made us uncomfortable that the kids’ rooms were on the lower level and all adults upstairs. The bunk beds are also only suitable for small children. Overall we had a great trip and enjoyed ourselves but would not stay again.

Summary: What a great trip! First time to Puerta Plata and we had a wonderful stay. We travel with our friends, husband and wife and everyone had a wonderful time. The home is perfect and we truly enjoyed the staff which became friends. We look forward to going to stay again in the near future.

Summary: We enjoyed our visit here. The house is comfortable and incredibly clean. We enjoyed time by the pool and on the patio/verandas. The staff is phenomenal! It was so nice to be spoiled with delicious meals and a staff who took care of everything. Tania and Yanni were so efficient and are great cooks--they kept our living space immaculate. Narcisco was always available if we needed a water run and he keeps the pool spotless! Gambino was quick to respond on What's App and always had the answers we needed. He arranged cabs for us to and from the airport and to dinner one night. Gus took such good care of us--he set us up on excursions and even escorted us himself on 2 different occasions. Our trip would not have been the same if it wasn't for these wonderful people who were devoted to making sure we enjoyed our visit. We took advantage of the option for massages and facials on the veranda upstairs--this was heavenly! Highly recommend!The hosts were equally as attentive when we had questions and they truly have a beautiful home--we were so grateful it was available to stay in.If I would offer one thing that was less than perfect, it was the noise from the resort across the way. This is not any fault of the owners or the staff, but there were times of the day when their music and DJ were a bit more/louder than we cared to listen to. We played our own music by the pool and were able to tune it out. Overall, we recommend this property! Thank you for having us!

Summary: From the moment I made my reservation. The owners have answered every question I had. I’ve never been to the DR before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. We arrived Saturday afternoon, I was asked if I wanted Tania to cook dinner that night and breakfast Sunday morning. We chose just breakfast so Gabino suggested a restaurant for dinner, made the reservations for us a had a taxi pick us up. The restaurant los tres cocos was amazing. I highly recommend that place. Sunday we had a full breakfast and then sat down with Tania to talk about dinners. We chose to go grocery shopping with her bc I like to and it was great to experience the difference between the US anDR. Gus came by Sunday to set up our excursions for the week. He was so good plus a couple of the guys wanted to go to specific cigar place and Gus came by a took them personally. Narisco was there every morning with a smile on his face doing what he does. He was just a pleasure, but my favorite part of the week was Tania and Yanny. The food was amazing. There was not one meal that we didn’t enjoy. They even came in one morning early bc we had an early excursion and were always happy and helpful with the house and helped a few time with cabs. Knowing what we know now, we would have eaten every meal in and skipped eating out. The whole experience was wonderful. Probably the most relaxing vacation I have ever had.

Summary: Our family has an early holiday celebration in warmer, sunny climate. The house was great and the staff friendly. Tanya is a good cultural cook. A bit of a food desert if you want to eat out and going to the grocery was 50 round trip - so, could get pricey. Recommend bringing bug spray as the mosquitoes were hungry. The weather was lovely the setting was just what we wanted. Only thing the beach was a short walk and not the prettiest. We enjoy our togetherness.
