Charming historic bungalow built in 1917 in the Carolina Place neighborhood of Downtown Wilmington. A quaint area which offers beautiful tree-lined streets, front porches, sidewalks for walking your dog, pushing a stroller, or simply out for an evening stroll, and a beautiful mix of older and thoughtfully restored homes.
On more than one occasion, I have been told our neighborhood is reminiscent of where "Gilmore Girls" meets "The Andy Griffith Show."
(Interesting tidbit: 2 doors down is the home featured on the former TV show "One Tree Hill"...a VERY popular show filmed in Wilmington with a huge fan base. The home 2 doors down is the home where the show's main character Lucas Scott [played by Chad Michael Murray] lived in the fictitious town of Tree Hill!

* 2 Full Bedrooms - 2 FULL Bathrooms (primary bath includes a clawfoot bathtub and rain showerhead)
* Queen Beds in each bedroom
* Parking for 2 vehicles located in the rear of the home, right at the back door! No fighting for street parking like many of the neighbors.

* 10-foot ceilings
* Ceiling fans in both bedrooms, living room and front porch
* Front porch with traditional Southern swing and rockers....ready for coffee or cocktails
* Smart TV's in both bedrooms and living room
* Fully appointed kitchen equipped with a refrigerator w/ ice maker, dishwasher, range, microwave, coffee maker, range, blender, toaster, full-sized washer and dryer and ALL the cookware and dishware you would need to cook a heavenly Thanksgiving meal!
* Sheets and towels included (no additional charge as many other properties do).
* And character that only a 100-year old home has!
* Arrive as late as you wish on check-in day due to an electronic lock system on the back door. No one needs to be present!! Put your mind at ease that you will have your very own unique door lock and alarm code that is unable to be used again after you check-out.

We furnished our home with pets in mind - from the fenced-in front yard, to the minimal carpeting throughout the home, down to the leather living room furnishings. There is even a portable pet gate and doggie bowls available if needed.

Summary: This cozy cottage was exactly what the doctor ordered for our family getaway. The house had everything we needed (the front porch got a lot of use:)), the beds were comfy, and we felt right at home. Easy drive to the beach and super close to downtown! Dena is the best and took great care of us!

Summary: The home was perfect for my wife and me; and our doggy. Enjoyed taking walks in the neighborhood with our lab. Very eclectic feel with great landscaping ideas. Able to stay on my running schedule at the local YMCA, around the block and out at Greenfield park which is a few minute drive. The home has a very comfortable feel with a great porch out front to relax. Seemed to be in close proximity to everywhere we wanted to go. Recommend staying here when you're in the area.

Summary: My husband and furry kids enjoyed our stay at the yellow cottage. The neighborhood is mature with older homes, trees and friendly people. The house is comfortable, nicely decorated with a vintage feel. Dena the host is accommodating, quick to respond and lovely to deal with. Old world charm with southern hospitality.

Summary: The house is in the perfect location for race day. It was 4 miles from the finish line. If you are there to be near downtown Wilmington, this is perfect. Quaint neighborhood and beautiful historic home. It had everything we needed.

Summary: Fantastic find! The location is perfect, offers an interesting neighborhood just for strolling. It's close to the Riverwalk, an attraction not to be missed. Bellamy Mansion tour is excellent. The owner was so kind and helpful. Her cottage is lovely. We highly recommend booking here.
