Positive: A large, pleasant house in a lovely neighbourhood, with a swimming pool.
Negative: 1. The upstairs bathroom was out of service (who knows for how long). We asked for some compensation but haven't received any yet. It was highly inconvenient as we had to go through someone's bedroom to go to the bathroom. We were told about the problem only when we got to the house. We were not given the possibility to cancel. 2. The beds were very hard 3. There were no basic items (salt, pepper, olive oil, some teas...,) in the kitchen, as there normally is in holiday rented houses and minimal toilet paper, as well as no detergent for the washing machine 4. There was only 1 key which was very inconvenient for a group of 6 people 5. The shower in one of the downstairs bathroom didn't drain well.
Summary: A nice house but unfortunately let down by numerous factors.

Positive: The kitchen was well equipped. I was delighted to find an air fryer. The garden was great. We loved the space. There were only two of us but it was perfect. It was a short walk to the beach which was fantastic. Ferragudo was great. We didn’t like the look of Portimao but on our last day took the water taxi across. We were very impressed. Whereas Ferragudo feels sleepy, Portimao was buzzy and vibrant. We visited the market which was an eye opener. So many different kinds of fish. We loved it.
Negative: The bed was a little hard. There was a dripping tap in the the en-suite of the bedroom we first used. There was quite a bit of hedge cutting activity during the day. These however are very minor ittitations and didn’t spoil our holiday at all. We would definitely consider returning - for longer next time. One service that would have been useful would have been an optional ‘get you in’ pack including bread, eggs, salt, butter, milk tea, coffee etc. there is a supermarket fairly close by but after a long flight drive it would have been nice to settle in without having to immediately go shopping.
Summary: Holiday in the lap of luxury.

Positive: Great location for a relaxing holiday. Brilliant restaurants 10/15 min walk away as well as being near the beach. Pool area is great is lovely, would highly recommend booking.
Negative: Bathrooms could do with a bit of a refurb but no major concerns
