Summary: Mary and Pastor were wonderful hosts! I stayed for 10 days, and they treated me like a member of their family. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and very filling. They also helped me get oriented and explore the sights in and around Bayamo. One day, my friend and I bought ingredients for cooking and Mary helped us turn them into a delicious dinner! The room was comfortable and spacious, and there was a generator so we still had power during the frequent power outages.

Summary: Mari & Pastor went above & beyond to help me when I arrived unwell to their city. They helped me get to their casa, cooked light foods to get me on my feet, and were friendly and flexible throughout. Bayamo was experiencing a lot of power outages and hot weather, so it was less comfortable when we didn’t have access to air conditioning or a fan, but that was not their fault!

Summary: Staying at Pastor and Mary (Maria Antonia)’s place was a lovely experience for me, and I highly recommend this casa particular. The location is excellent—it’s easy to find and its location close to a radio tower helps if one gets disoriented walking “home”: just look for the tower. The room and attached ensuite is very clean, and although small, it had everything I needed (including adequate clothes hanging space). I had two dinners and a lunch here and the food was excellent.
