Positive: We had a wonderful stay at Casa de Primo. The house has a very modern design with a huge panoramic window overlooking the lake, where we enjoyed some of the most breathtaking sunsets we’ve ever seen. The interior design is equally impressive: modern, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated with beautiful national patterns. The bed and pillows were probably the most comfortable we’ve ever slept on — it truly felt like sleeping on a cloud. The room is very spacious, and the place is extremely quiet, perfect for relaxation. The host was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, sharing a lot about the local culture and patiently answering all our questions. We even had the opportunity to try on traditional costumes after the host explained their patterns and the meaning of the music instruments. We also loved the location: very close to the beach, where you can go for a swim, and at the same time just a short walk from the colectivo stop with direct connections to Puno.

Negative: The only downside was the internet, which sometimes didn’t work at all. However, it also felt nice to have a bit of a digital detox.

Positive: I am so happy booking suggested this accommodation because I had such a beautiful time there. the view and the room is just perfect, at night from the balcony you have incredible sky, the family was so lovely and welcoming, always kind, I had different delicious breakfast every morning and even pancakes which I really missed! I booked for two nights and ended up staying four and could’ve stayed longer. I am really grateful for my time there, don’t hesitate to book if you feel tempted to go there.

Positive: A stunning location on a peninsular of the lake. Perfect for peace and quiet and nature. Many birds and plants to spot and no distractions as there is little else to do. Food provided by the family was simple and delicious. Hot shower. A little more challenging to get to, but for those seeking peace well worth it. Collectivos from Puno possible or private hire. Take cash, there is not a card machine or ATM in sight.

Positive: Welcoming and helpful owners. They were available before our arrival in Llachon to answer questions, met us in the plaza to help with luggage, cooked breakfast to order every morning and shared their culture and traditions. Don Primo has been hosting visitors for 20 years. Hector was always available. The casita was beautifully designed. The view of the lake from both inside and outside on the private deck was fantastic. A truly unique experience.
