Positive: We had a wonderful stay at Casa dei Pescatori in Colonno. This stylishly renovated old Italian house spans three floors and includes a charming attic and two beautiful balconies. The attention to detail and high-quality finishings throughout the property were impressive. The host was extremely friendly and accommodating, even though we were 15 minutes late for both check-in and check-out.
Negative: The house contains various personal items belonging to the owner and her son, mainly toys. While this creates a homely atmosphere, it can be inconvenient for guests arriving with a lot of luggage or planning an extended stay, as shelf space might be limited. The house is a 3-minute walk from the public parking area, but be aware that parking spots can be limited. Located in a quaint town with picturesque, winding streets, Casa dei Pescatori offers an authentic Italian experience.

Positive: Everything was so nice in this house. It was clean, everything I needed was there, the hosts were so friendly and the Como lake is just a short walk from the house with a stunning wiew. Close to the house there was a bus stop at the main bus line between Como and Mennagio/Colico. Around 10 am there is also a bout that you can take to Bellagio just to minutes walk away. If you are up for som walking there is also the greenway del Lago di Como that is passing by just 50 meters from the house.
Negative: I liked everything actually. But of you guys want to live in the centre of the nightlife this place might not be the place for you. For me who and others who want that genuine and real charming italian feeling its a perfect place and its a good place as a base for daytrips to several attraktions around lake Como.

Positive: Quiet. Typical fisherman's house, 300 years old, but completely renewed. Nice hikes around (e.g. Colmegnone) or simple walks by all the villages via the Greenway. Beautiful villas around to visit (e.g. Carlotta). Reactive and helpful host.
Negative: Like for any other village around the lake, parking is a challenge. Also, it is a 3 stories' house so you might find yourself going up and down the stairs a few times (because when you have no brains you have legs...).

Positive: A wonderful place! The location is good. Very friendly hosts. The house is in Italian style. Very clean. There is a bar and a restaurant nearby. The lake is two steps away. I really enjoyed my short stay there โ˜บ๏ธ
