===== ACCOMMODATION DESCRIPTION =====
Casa di Vignolo used to be the vineyards workers' house. A stone building with unique features inside makes it a real gem from a very authentic medieval village! The stone built veranda outside will make you enjoy the everyday life of this small Tuscan hamlet, with a great choice of good local wines to choose from!
From the entrance your attention will fall on a stunning huge fireplace that used to serve for cooking in the history of this house. A sofa and two comfortable armchairs will make you relax watching TV or just chilling reading your guide/itinerary.
A beautiful red bricks' arch leads to the kitchen with the original stone sink of the house, a very large counter with all you need for cooking and eating your home cooked Italian meals. A cute niche for cups and drinks gives an authentic touch to this modern furnished kitchen.
To the left of the main entrance, the master bedroom with a french style king size bed. En suite bathroom with shower, with in front a "walk in" kind of closet with a large wooden wardrobe.
Going back to the entrance, a stone staircase leads to the second floor with two bedrooms (a double and two single beds) and a bathroom with shower. Even if the house was built to keep the ambiance very cool also during the hottest summer days, both rooms are air conditioned.
In the staircase a small service room with washing machine (with washing soap), iron and iron board, and wracks.
WiFi available.
The living room will be your favorite room of the house. Sitting in front of the charming fireplace, or by the desk with local guides and brochures, or on the sofas to watch streaming TV with Netflix and Amazon Video, ... living a real Tuscan house with such simple things.
Bedrooms have night tables, wardrobes and chairs to make you feel home
The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern appliances: fridge/freezer, cooker and oven, microwave, dish washer, coffee machine and plenty kitchen utensils. Also a coffee grinder for the best Italian or american coffee!
The kitchen has a 17th century stone sink and a beautiful wooden table with a white Carrara marble top surface, big enough to accommodate up to 6 people. We provide basics such as coffee powder, sugar, salt, locally made olive oil, vinegar and little snacks. Also dish soap and dishwasher tabs are part of the kitchen equipment.
Both bathrooms have shower cabin, sink and toilet. You will find a courtesy set with shampoo, bath shower gel and hand soap made in Tuscany with Extra virgin Olive Oil. Towels, carpet and hairdryer also available.

Summary: Once again, a thoroughly enjoyable stay with Irene and I Am Tuscany. For anyone wanting a real Tuscan experience with a beautiful house in a hilltop Tuscan village, who wants to meet and engage with locals in the shops or in the bars, this is the place. Whether it’s a morning coffee, an aperitif or an after dinner drink after eating in the restaurant or the local bistro, just chill and go with the flow! You won’t regret it.

Summary: We stayed in Tuscany with our kids age 9,10,13. It was truly Tuscany living. We felt like the members of the family of the village. Morning coffee with the locals, dinner at the local restaurant visits to all near by wineries and cheese places. Irene - our host was the most helpful person. She helped us to find places, to go on a day tour, places to eat and see. The best experience was to be a part of a big village dinner with sitting outside with 250 locals and experience four course dinner and learn local traditions. Truly amazing. Thank you Irene.

Summary: We wanted to be immersed in the Tuscan lifestyle and this was a perfect way to do so. The small town is close to Arezzo and midway between Siena and Cortona which made for perfect driving distance to all the cities. In town, a charming restaurant and not too far away local supermarkets, restaurants etc. The house as described - unlike anything we’ve ever stayed at before. Event the kitchen sink drains into the original plumbing from centuries ago. All the comforts we needed, beautiful rooms. Steps from the door, a lovely coffee shop and a delightful little grocery. Warm and friendly people. A water dispenser for cold fresh water. Listen to Elena’s recommendations for how to keep the house cool and where to go. Elena is the best spokesperson for her town- maybe future mayor? The highlight for us was dinner and our cooking lesson with Mauro. You can’t take back a souvenir that will really last the way that experience does. All in all we knew this would be great and it was.

Summary: In a world where human interaction is frowned upon in favor of an online click with instant delivery and instant gratification I cannot tell you how good it was to spend time with Irene Gren of “I am Tuscany” who puts a premium on the people of her region, the towns and villages. In her company, myself and my wife met so many wonderful people who were so pleased to give us an insight into their life and the way they live it and why they live it the way they do and in fact have done so for many generations. We explored vineyards where the owner showed us around their vines and their fields and cellars and spoke about their wine with an honesty, passion and huge pride. Restaurants provided local dishes that were made with produce from within walking distance and we were made welcome in bars and shops that without “I am Tuscany” we never would have found. Itineraries were drawn up for us based on what we were looking for and we drove around the region visiting beautiful little villages and towns and everywhere we went we were greeted by “Buongiorno”. Irene made sure we had time in the three jewels in the Crown namely Florence, Arezzo and Siena and the escorts she arranged to take us around were very knowledgeable and patient. But there was still time to relax and you can relax spend time either around the pool or sitting in the piazza sipping a glass of Chianti or a Spritz and waving at passersby. “I am Tuscany” is not just about a pool and a villa, it’s about people. It’s about helping you feel you have been a part of Tuscany and frankly only a Tuscan can do that, and myself and my wife will be back for more.

Summary: Beautiful accomodation in old village. Friendly staff: Irene and assitents were very helpful and responsive! The accomodation is in a centuries old building with many original elements, but also with all the things that you would expect in a modern facility. I was convenient to have three bedrooms, two of them (on the top floor) have airconditioning as well. The nearby (2 minute walk) restaurant 'Le Cantine' is very good and recommendable. We very much enjoyed our stay here!
