Positive: The villa is an absolute gem. It’s truly beautiful and the views are incredible. Very peaceful with all the views and different wildlife sounds you experience. The villa itself has everything you need to cook, and the beds are extremely comfortable. The pool is a nice addition and my daughter and her friend spent hours daily enjoying this. However, some items are needed and needing to be fixed or put into place. Garden umbrellas are broken ( both of them ) more shade was needed, so maybe a few umbrellas would have been great. The pool filter system was never on the whole week we were there! Constantly having to net out the flies and bugs! Tiles looking a bit green also and when I wiped my finger on them the limescale came off! In the bathroom upstairs mildew was present around the taps. A piece of laminated paper in English with information on how to turn the trips back on when the electrics go would have been very handy. Information as to where the bins are and what colours to put the rubbish into. Local restaurants etc etc. you can’t turn left when you come out of the villa, we were stopped by police and advised of this. Thankfully we didn’t receive a fine! all of this information was needed yet we had to make do with a phone translator and the owners didn’t speak a word of English. Although very polite and welcoming. Gifted wine and veg. A beautiful gesture. Overall a beautiful villa and we enjoyed it but it would have been perfect with all of the above!

Positive: Absolute gem of a property. So tranquil. Very relaxing. The house was everything you needed. We barely left as we loved the atmosphere there. Amazing views. Great pool.

Positive: Absolutely beautiful villa set in a beautiful location. I sat every morning with my coffee and watched the sunrise over the mountains from the balcony. Honestly one of the best family holidays we have ever had, the villa is a traditional spanish style with all the modern conveniences. The kids spent most of the time in the pool when we weren’t out exploring the local area. The best thing about staying here is the utter peace, away from the crowds on the coast and total privacy. The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating, even gifting us fruit and vegetables from their allotment. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing place to spend time with your family, I highly recommend Casa el Carill.

Negative: No cleaning net for the pool hence required to buy one, otherwise, pool would have been unusable, an absence of any local information or welcome brochure, particularly local doctor, pharmacy, hospital and opening hours. Dangerous entrance to the stairway on the first floor and no first-floor landing lights (which resulted in one of the party falling down them); no first-aid kit. Problem with ants and flies. Mouldy bath towels were provided, the sunbeds were dirty and only one workable old parasol for four beds.
