Positive: The host is AMAZING. He is beyond friendly and helpful. He connected us with his cousin who gave us a great rate for the drive from Guatemala City straight to the property. There’s amazing street vendors for food literally every street you walk down, it’s right by the Mirador, a 5 minute walk to all the best parts of the city and 10 minutes walking to the lake. The view from the roof is beautiful. The property itself was really clean and spacious, and the beds were super comfy. I honestly can’t say enough. We loved our stay here.
Negative: I’ve got nothing. We truly loved it.
Summary: Amazing location, kind host, lovely property, and easy access to all the fun!

Positive: The host was extremely helpful, sending me a location pin via WhatsApp and meeting us at the property on arrival. The apartment is very spacious with 4 large bedrooms. The bedding and towels were perfectly clean, and beds are very comfy. There is no AC but fans are provided in the rooms. The apartment is just a few minutes' walk from the main town in a very good location.
Negative: This apartment was perfect for what we wanted and excellent for the price. However, it can be noisy at night with tuc tuc's and dogs (as with everywhere in this town) so be sure to bring some ear plus if you're a light sleeper.

Positive: We could not have had a better experience staying here. Domingo the host was the most accommodating, offering help any way he could and really elevated our 5 day stay. The house itself was in a perfect location: close to all the main in in San Juan la Laguna, while remaining just off the beaten path. The house and rooms were plentiful and spacious, and the rooftop terrace out of this world. We were 7 people and felt like we had more than enough space. We had so much fun staying here and would stay here again in a heart beat. San Juan La Laguna is a beautiful town with real heart surrounded by gorgeous mountains and inhabited by generous, interesting people. If you are thinking of coming to Lake Atitlan, I could not recommend enough staying in San Juan enough. And Casa Elenita only exceeded any expectation we had.
Negative: I genuinely have no complaints. For the price you are paying, you get a 5 star experience.
Summary: We a perfect time staying at Casa Elenita and are so grateful to have stayed here.

Positive: We loved our stay here!! It’s basic but exactly was we wanted and expected. There is heaps space, comfy beds and the host was really attentive and kind. Would definitely recommend if you wanted a break from dorms and to have your own for reasonable price! Was close to the trailhead of the Mayan nose hike and a short 10 minute walk to the docks
