Positive: Small individual room but practical, in quiet area, comfortable bed.

Negative: While toilet is inside room, you have to step outside, though briefly, to reach the shower room on the opposite side of the alley way, which can be a bit cold, especially coming out of the shower, unless you dress in the shower.

Summary: A good deal 35 mins from Shinjuku (center Tokyo) on the Odakyu line Rapid Express train.

Positive: A unique accommodation, essentially an annex to the main house which is also a soba noodle restaurant with a traditional Japanese garden. A toilet and sink is in the self-contained unit, a few steps walk to the main building for a shower. Very close to Machida station but quiet residential area.

Positive: The property around the room was beautiful. The woman I met the evening of the 19th was pretty good at speaking English. It was fairly quiet and I could sleep very easily without a lot of noise. Spent most of my stay in my room suffering from jet lag, although did get out a few times during the stay.

Negative: There wasn't a whole lot I didn't like, but it was a little confusing as to whether the woman meant you couldn't take a shower after 9 pm or 9 am. I didn't see the woman who ran the hotel from the night I came in until the morning I checked out, but the hotel is connected to a restaurant so may be too busy running the restaurant to have seen her.

Summary: For the price I paid for the 2 nights, it was an awesome room.
