Summary: 5 stars property, everything we would hoped from a property and vendor! The property was immaculately clean and beautiful decorated, with a good stock of cleaning material and some basics, like herbs and olive oil etc. Having stayed in a lot of villas, this was above and beyond our expectations and appreciated. The garden was especially beautiful , more than the photos convey( as stated in a previous review). We were picking passion fruits from the garden and loved the sea views. This property was perfect for all our needs and in a great location , especially regards the weather, often getting full sun when other areas of the island were cloudy or wet. There is a bedroom downstairs with an adjacent bathroom. My mother in-law has limited mobility: However In spite of the steep drive and lips on the door threshold , she managed fine. Rilanna was warm and friendly , available promptly when we had queries , however she also left us to enjoy our holiday , which was perfect for us. We all enjoyed our stay immensely and would all recommend this property and consider staying in one of the other two properties Rilanna owns.

Summary: The house is amazing, the views are breath taking. Rilana is an awesome host. The photos do not do this place any justice. It's immaculate and every possible thing you may need is there. I have stayed at many places over the last few years and this one beats them all by miles. Highly recommended.

Summary: The accommodation looked ideal when we viewed it on the website and we were not disappointed. It has everything you would want from a holiday home - relaxing peaceful environment, good facilities, great views, good neighbours and excellent hosts in the Kort Family. They have made every effort to create a comfortable and well-equipped home and are at hand with help and advice if you need it. We can't wait to return!

Summary: Wow! After researching many home rentals on the island of Madeira, we found Casa Lanaflor to be everything we could have wished for and more. The home provided space and comfort in luxurious surroundings, with amazing views of the ocean, sunsets and an exotic garden. We were a party of two, but the house could comfortably accommodate 4 adults. The Kort family supplied very helpful information on grocery stores, (5 minutes away) restaurants and walking paths of the locals. Norbert and Rilana were helpful but unobtrusive and a joy to deal with. We rented the home for the month of February to walk the levadas of Madeira and found them close by and enjoyed refreshments back at our vacation home during the many beautiful sunsets. Most of our meals we prepared in the well equipped kitchen and saved a lot of euros to be used for a repeat vacation at Casa Lanaflor. Our flight was with Sata Airlines, 5.5 hours from Toronto, Ontario Canada, with a seamless stop on the Island of Sao Miguel and a 2 hour flight to Madeira. Sata also flies from Boston, Mass. USA to Madeira. When we next return to Madeira we will again rent from the Kort family. All the best from Canada Howard & Giselle
