Positive: This apartment sits in a small village about 8km from Moltacino. If you are looking to get a taste of Italian village life, this is for you. We loved it. If you want to visit larger towns, Moltacino is a 15-minute drive, and Montepulciano is about 40 minutes, and the drives are lovely. The apartment was fantastic. All three bedrooms have an en suite. Lounge, kitchen, small dining table, and outdoor sitting, its all there. There is a washing machine and dishwasher and a clothes horse to hang your clothes. If you are staying for a while, it may pay to have some tablets or powder for these, but there were some at the apartment. There is a small store in town and a cafe and there are restaurants within walking distance. We were 4 adults in total and had the best time staying there. It's definitely a place to return to. Thank you, Casa Maria.

Positive: It is located in a gorgeous Tuscan town and served our purpose. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms were fabulous.
Negative: It was clean, but some areas could have had a more thorough cleaning. The shower doors were very awkward to manage, and if you were a tall or large person you may not even manoeuvre into them! For a week stay, we were given one towel, hand towel each (possibly because there is a washing machine on-site), and a bare minimum of toilet paper & amenities. It was necessary for us to purchase more - so something to be aware of when you are booking. Parking was very challenging as there wasn’t a designated spot and the lot was used y everyone visiting the town! From the photos we were under the impression it was a stand alone Villa, however it is attached to 3 other suites. It was very lovely, however not up to the standard of a 9.7 rating. I would say more of a 8 rating.

Positive: Samantha was an incredible host. Offered tons of tips and was so helpful in making sure our stay with our 1 year old was comfortable. Would definitely recommend this gem to anyone looking for a enchanting experience in Tuscany.

Negative: We are a bit disappointed as we were not able to use the patio since there are nopatio furniture the patio is also very dirty full of mud, this is not what we see from the photos on Booking.com . Each washroom are only provided with a little roll of toilet paper for 3 day usuage, There are also not sufficient cleaning material in the kitichen, half a roll of tissue paper, one tea tower, nothing to ripe the table. Before we leave, We were told to remove all the garbage and take them outside. However the most upset thing is that after we left, we were told the cleaning lady found one of the picture frames broken on the floor of one bed room, actually the picture frame was leaning on the floor when we first entered, we didn’t even touch it. We were being challenged that why didn’t we advised them of the broken picture frame. We felt we were being accused something we didn’t do, and are really upset by the communication with the host.

Positive: Casa Maria is described as a mansion, and wow—this place is gorgeous. It features three full private bedrooms, each with its own dedicated bathroom. The property is exceptional, beautifully renovated to perfection while still retaining its old-world charm. Truly stunning and an UNBELIEVABLE/AMAZING value.
Negative: The only surprise I encountered was that the address is incorrectly listed on Booking.com. This place is actually in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, not downtown Montalcino. While it wasn’t a major issue, it did throw off my planning and arrival time. Booking.com may update the location before you read this, but if not, make sure you know exactly where you’re headed. The location is just 12 minutes from Montalcino and has two restaurants within walking distance. One of them, Vineria Aperta Montalcino, served the most amazing salumi I’ve ever had, along with a breathtaking selection of over 1,500 wine labels, most of which are Brunellos.
Summary: GORGEOUS PLACE AT AN INCREDIBLE VALUE. I could move in there!
