Positive: the house (an actual small palace), is very lovely and the host was wonderful in telling us its history and about some of the artifacts in the house. The location was excellent, right outside the big castle walls. There was free parking right by the house. there is a nice garden with a beautiful view. the breakfast was great with every kind of cheese, meat, bread, fruit, yogurt, cereal. they even made eggs when we asked. it was very clean.
Negative: I think there should be a heater in the bathroom (there is a radiator but it was not on). Since the room is below street level, it seemed damp and cold. When the heater is turned on, it directly affects whoever is in the bed right beside it. I think if possible and if it is not too expensive, the radiators should be on in the spring, cold weather. I think it would be fine in the summer, warm weather. Also the beds could be firmer and more comfortable.
Summary: very lovely host and wonderful place, location, garden, history, but the room could have been better

Positive: A generous, homemade Portuguese breakfast(homemade lemon curd was amazing). The place itself is beautiful, set in a lovely location with a scenic view that makes the stay even more special. In the courtyard, lemon trees grow. The room is very cozy and comfortable, and the house feels like it came straight out of an old movie. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and kind, making you feel truly appreciated and at home from the moment you arrive. It’s the kind of place where you genuinely feel like a welcomed guest rather than just a visitor.

Positive: Super welcoming host. The atmosphere of Casa Picva is outstanding and the location is perfect if you arrive by car. We had private parking in front of the entrance. Breakfast was just fantastic in a homely atmosphere.

Positive: The hosts Joao and Ana were wonderful and hospitable people that opened this lovely home to us and made us feel so welcomed. They treated us like family and we had a wonderful breakfast. They offered chocolates and fresh fruit from their trees to the children. Obidos is just an adorable little town.
