Our property, an original Piedmontese farmhouse, was totally renovated in 2007 and 2008. It is located at the end of a small dead end path. The house, with 50.000 square meters of land, has 4 large bedrooms -one on ground level - three bathrooms, a large kitchen and a separate living. Casa Sulie (250 m2) has a spacious terrace, partly covered, connected to the kitchen. It is luxuriously furnished with a mix of modern design and antiques. Casa Sulié is situated in Piemonte in the triangle Milan-Turin-Genoa. The Mediterranean is just 40 km away. The village of Cartosio is 2 km away. You can do all your daily shopping in this village. Acqui Terme, about 12 km away, is well-known for its thermal baths and has some excellent restaurants and boutiques. Genoa, Milan and Turin can be reached within 1,5 to 2 hours. Albissola and Varazze, colourful seaside resorts, can be reached in less than an hour without any traffic jam.

Summary: We very much enjoyed the two weeks holiday at casa Sulie’. The house is very clean and spaciousn, private and comfortable. It is well presented and located hillside in a very quite area with wonderful views of the surrounding country side. The pool is on a raised position near the house with even more amazing views; it is of good size and very well maintained. Relax by the pool is guaranteed. The house is a perfect base to explore the Piedmont county, particularly the ‘Langhe’ region famous for its vineyards and the produced wine. No doubt that the place ticks all the boxes, and we would surely recommend it. Although miles away, the owner was always available to communicate, and did that promptly and reliably, as well as Antonio (the caretaker) who lives close by is always available for help (he also produces good wine). In all, choosing the place was a very good choice.

Summary: We felt so lucky that we ended up choosing this house. It is a BEAUTIFUL house with a great view. It had everything we needed – super pool, well-equipped kitchen, lots of out-door furniture, trampoline, kids/baby-bed, privacy, local wine-farmer just down the road, everything was nice and clean, there was plenty of linen and towels and everything was just very well maintained and nice. The small village/city close by (10km) is very cozy and has lots of good shops, cafes and restaurants. The owner is very nice and he gave us a very good description of the area and recommendations for both restaurants and trips. We were two families (four adults and three kids age 2-7 years) and we all really enjoyed staying here and had a fantastic holiday.

Summary: This is a beautiful house with everything one needed. The pool area is wonderful with plenty of very comfortable furniture to sunbathe on. The views are great. It's totally private, so you feel really relaxed and chilled. It's perfect you could not ask for more. We were a family of six with one grandchild, unfortunately two of our children missed a fantastic holiday.

Summary: We enjoyed very much our stay in this lovely, comfortable and quiet villa at Cartosio, Piemonte. We were 3 families (6 adults, 2 kids), and each family could easily keep his own privacy. In the kitchen everything you can imagine (even drinks) is available, toys for the kids (trampoline!), and the pool, with a great view on the valley towards Acqui Terme and on the surrounding hills, seduced just everyone of us. With the different terraces, we could enjoy every meal of the day in the sun. The house is just a perfect base for the exploration of Piemonte, and we were lucky that also the weather was just perfect. So we highly recommend Casa Sulie for a stay with your family in Piemonte region. We certainly consider to go back there in the future.

Summary: We had a very pleasant and relaxing stay in this spacious and well-presented house. The kitchen was very well equipped and the bedrooms were all of a good size with comfortable beds. The house is in a secluded and private location, on a hillside looking over the surrounding countryside. The swimming pool, in a raised position behind the house, was a good size and offered fantastic views, both from the adjoining terrace and from the 'infinity edge' side. The region (Piedmont) is not a particular tourist destination, but is all the better for that! There are a number of interesting towns to visit (e.g. Alba, Acqui Terme) and Turin and Genoa are both within a reasonable drive. The local food is excellent and there is also the attraction of many of Italy's finest vineyards (Barolo, Barbaresco) within easy reach. The owner provided very useful information before we arrived about places to visit, local markets and recommended restaurants.

Summary: We (a family with three teenage children) had a perfect stay in this beautiful and tastefully decorated house. The house is very comfortable and spacious with a separate television room. Everything a family needs is available. From the swimming pool near the house one has a fantastic view over the hills. We appreciated the quietness of the house and the fact that one meets mainly Italians when going out, no tourists.....If you like tranquillity, sun, swimming, privacy, a really beautiful place to stay, Barbera wine and the opportunity to visit the coast or a big city, this house is a good choice. The owner communicates quickly and reliably.

Summary: Casa Sulie is a lovely and comfortable villa that gives you the feeling to be home away from home. Located at the end of a dirt road up the mountain it is very quiet, with a lot of privacy and a spectacular view. The villa is spacious and very well equipped with comfortable beds, 3 bathrooms, all the kitchen appliances you can wish for and more than enough outside furniture. Because of the location there is always a little breeze around the swimming pool so it is hardly ever too warm to sit by the pool.

Summary: This is exactly what you're looking for -true Italian charm but perfectly renovated by the owners to the highest standards. Complete privacy, very quiet -yet close to a charming village with excellent restaurants with historic Aqui Terme close by. Golf, wineries, markets, beautiful landscapes -you're right in the middle. Perfect for a week or a month -sadly that's not always possible. I'll be back!
