Positive: It is a lovely place. Part of a large house with a separate entrance. The apartment is on three levels. It's very well equipped, clean and spacious. The kitchen and the living room are on the ground floor. The kitchen is spacious and comfortable with a dishwasher. Two bedrooms and a spacious bathroom are on floor 1 and 2. There are two balconies (yes!) with a view of the surrounding mountains and a nice garden. The litttle village of Feltrone is quite high on a mountain slope, it's quiet and peaceful. So if you're looking for a quiet place for retreat, far away from the hustle of civilization, this is the place for you. Remember you must drive a car to get there and not mind typical Alpian narrow, steep mountain roads. I guess, that's part of the thrill. Also, remember Feltrone is a good location for the Carynthian Alps, but if you're going for the Dolomites, it's good for the Eastern Dolomites and consider a 100+ km drive for each visit. As it's the mountains, travelling is generally slower, so make sure to spare 2+h for each drive. There is a hefty collection of maps and guidebooks on the ground floor prepared by the host for an unprepared visitor. Helpful! The host is very friendly and easily available. When you arrive, especially in the dark, you might be tempeted to look for the entrance going down the stairs at the closer end of the building. Don't! Make sure to look for the entrance at the further end of the house where a small gate to the garden is.
Negative: Nothing :) As for going to Feltrone by car - If you take the eastern ascend road, the generally narrower and steeper option (the western road is wider and easier to navigate - if you're not good with tight, steep bends, go for this road!), stay allert on the bottom flat part as there is an enexpected historic unrailed stone bridge that is hidden lower and at a considerable angle to the upcoming road. As I was driving at night, I didn't know what was coming and I almost ended up in the stream below.

Positive: House in really quite area. Last village on the road. House was clean and well equiped.
Negative: Air conditioning only on the ground floor, so quite hot in bedrooms, but we were there in really hot time (temperaure was 36C during the day). Keep in mind that you need to drive to nearest shop. Missing kettle.

Positive: The apartment was very clean, well-equipped and beautiful, comfortable for 4 persons. The location was perfect for hiking and mountain climbing in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in Tolmezzo region. We received also metal water bottles from the owner as gift for hiking, which was perfect, we used them during our hiking tours. Communication was smooth and easy with the owner, he was very friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out was easy, we could manage it ourselves without personal meeting with the owner. The apartment is in a small and calm village which is a perfect choice for relaxing as well. There was a free car park option next to the house as well. There were also some hiking maps in the apartment which we could check before we planned our hikings. Our stay was perfect here, we enjoyed it. Good value for money, I can gladly recommend this apartment to anybody. :)
Negative: It would be nice if the apartment could be booked only for 2 nights (a normal short weekend) as well, we would come back sometimes just for a short weekend stay. :)

Positive: The house was located nice, quite and small town. The house had enough space, kitchenware and fantastic view. Also it was well maintained and comfortable. The host was so nice and kind.
Negative: You need your own car. To get the house, you must drive ca. 3 km of narrow road from main road. Could be suprising if you are not familiar with this kind of Italian road. But on the other hand, it's why the town and house could be quite. There was no shop or restraurant in the town. So you are advised to prepare anything you need before. But there were several place to eat and shop in near town Villa Santina. (ca. 15 min's drive) Also the house has no house number. You may have difficulty to find the house. The house is located on the right side of the deadend road.(You may get help from the host).
