Positive: The house is in an excellent location close to the harbour , old town and a mini market. The host was extremely accommodating and helpful - by far the best thing about the apartment.

Negative: The bed were the firmest we had ever encountered, however we did request mattress toppers from the host who brought two brand new ones to us that day- excellent service. We, however, still found the beds to be way too hard for us personally, the toppers were only a couple of centimeters deep and still didnt offer enough softness and we didn't sleep well as a result. The apartment is starting to show signs of wear and tear, duct tape on the bathroom floor, paint peeling from kitchen cabinets, not enough to spoil a stay by any measure. The electric tripped every time we showered (easily remedied by flicking the trip switch and reported to the host who stated it will be looked at so hopefully resolved/ we may have had to many things on and overloaded the electrics). The bathroom smelt a bit of damp if the door was left closed.

Positive: Location although on arrival - Booking .com had address as 22 Rua Viola but it was 24? But we sorted with Agent

Negative: For 10 night stay - no washing machine or drying area available other than bathroom which meant use of launderette - so couples travelling light and families over 4 days should be aware - it does not list washer to be fair but it would accommodate much better with washer dryer unless you arrive with large cases or for shorter stays....

Summary: Location and space fine and friendly and accommodating host - fine for shorter stays - locality VG
