Positive: If you’re feeling tired and need a real break surrounded by nature, this villa is a great choice. There’s lots of space inside the house and outside in the yard. The pool water was warm in July, and in the evenings we enjoyed sitting in the backyard, watching the full moon and stars, and listening to the crickets. It’s also perfect for kids — they’ll love the open space to play and, of course, the pool. One special thing we really enjoyed was feeding the donkeys in the nearby olive grove😊 The house has air conditioning that cools two rooms very well. If we come back to Sicily, we will definitely stay at this villa again. And Enrico is a great and friendly host!
Negative: Everything is great, but as for improvements - it would be nice to add some kitchen knives, since there is only one, and maybe a coffee machine

Positive: Casale Gelati is a great location for exploring the southwest coast of Sicily. The area abounds in pittoresk towns and villages, fascinating archeological parks, and, of course, superb beaches. Our host Enrico spoke perfect English, was very knowledgeable about the area, and gave us many tips for wonderful day trips (to Agrigento, Trapani, etc.). Thanks to him, we were given a guided tour in English of the medieval Cathedral of Caltabellotta, a mountain town just north of Sciacca. Enrico is by far the most attentive and generous host I have come across on a decade worth of Italian holidays. Grazie mille, Enrico!
Negative: I love Casale Gelati and have very few complaints. But you do need a car to get to the property. The drive from the main road to the property is not in great shape. It is a dirt track in places, also used by farmers in the neighborhood. My advice would be to arrive in daylight and use Google maps to locate the property. If you slow down sufficiently, then navigating the drive is not a problem. There is a small herd of donkeys (including two foals/fillies) in the fields bordering the property. They are very friendly animals. You will hear them occasionally, along with other animal sounds. It comes with the territory.

Positive: The environment is exceptional, quite, and about 20 minutes drive away from supermarkets and all local amenities. It is family run business and the owner was very helpful and very friendly. I would suggest the apartment to anyone wishing to have a relaxant holiday in a quiet exceptional environment in the Sicilian mountains close to all local amenities.

Positive: The location was in the country so unpolluted air and had magnificent views. I liked having the bedrooms protected by mosquito nets and having air conditioning in the bedrooms. There was an onsite pool which was very enjoyable. Our host was very friendly and helpful. The kitchen was well equipped.
Negative: The bed mattresses were a bit too firm for our liking. The access road was quite long, but the property was well signed. We had hoped to be able to go to local restaurants for dinner, but this involved a drive and the driver preferred to be able to drink some wine.
Summary: This was much the better of our two stays during our holiday on Sicily.

Positive: Absolutely amazing setting. Beautiful and very quiet. The host is exceptional and very helpful and everything you need for a short break is at hand. Very nice local supermarket and half the price for a lot of things than in the UK. Example being €1.29 for 750ml bottle of Perroni. Water pressure in apartment like a jet wash!! Ignore the moaners about the approach road as its no worse than expected and unless you drive like a lunatic your car will be safe. All in all excellent location and breathtaking scenery.
Negative: A couple of comfortable outdoor chairs would complete the experience on the terrace.
