Positive: Son and Dad are super nice and help you get from train station to apartment. The apartment on the 3 floor was amazing, the terrace with view just incredible. King size bed and everything you need in apartment. Perfect location to historic town and to river.
Negative: Everything was perfect, expect stairs and steps to university

Positive: Hospitality at its finest. You cant fake an authentic desire to be a good host. Carlos truly considers people that stay at his property as his guests in HIS city. In every sense of the word. He wants you to leave Coimbra loving the city. The location is superb. The washer and dryer are a life saver. There is a Chinese Dollar shop down the road. And a swank bar restaurant next door. The place is amazing. Loved the city.
Negative: Its not the most stylish but the energy is great. Maybe change the cover of the ironing board? Really nothing to complain about.

Positive: Our host was kind enough to pick us up from the railway station which we appreciated greatly. Well situated, close to the main shopping street. Also great to have a washer and a drier.

Positive: The location was great and had a view of the river! The apartment was spacious, modern, and clean! The host, Carlos, was so helpful and accommodating! He picked us up from the train station, helped us in with our luggage, showed us how to access everything and even left us with pastries and port wine. Carlos also owns a coffee/pastery shop around the corner which was very convenient. He even took us back to the train station when we checked out! So nice! Would definitely recommend this place!

Positive: The host welcomed us with a couple of fresh pasteis de nata and port wine. Our studio was on the 2nd floor. It was roomy enough for a comfortable stay. We liked the comfort of having a fridge, a washer, and a dryer. We did not use the oven and cook top, but they were available. The location was great, it was only about 10 minutes away from the Coimbra University.
Negative: Not anyone's faut, the river view from the 2nd floor was blocked by the tall trees on the river bank. The front building was being renovated while we were there, and there was a sad looking building right in front that kind of ruined the view.

Positive: Most appreciated was the staff's train-station-to-hotel AND hotel-to-train-station free shuttle service. Also was pleased by the in-old-Coimbra location, making for a comfortable walking distance to cafés and tourist sites.

Positive: The hospitality from Carlos and his son was unmatched in all of our stays throughout Portugal! They were kind and gave lots of great recommendations for things to do in Coimbra. The apartment was spacious and clean, with wonderful views of the river. Definitely book this place for a comfortable stay.

Positive: This property is extremely well located on the hillside above the river and about halfway up to the level of the upper old town. It is such a convenient place and also well equipped. Also, host Carlos was ever so helpful. In fact I must say that the town of Coimbra was notable for such friendly, helpful people everywhere. Among the places I particularly enjoyed was the craft beer pub on the opposite side of the river.
Negative: The weather continued the pattern of periodic rain that was already well established during the week prior in Lisbon. Of course, this is not an issue due to this apt or Coimbra, but is did influence the experience of my visit.
