Positive: Amazing location, stunning views, really nice castle in the hills. Relatively easy to reach by car. Rooms are spacious.
Negative: Interaction with staff is good for those that speak English, or if you speak Italian. Otherwise it can be a bit difficult to get things or information you are looking for.

Positive: Beautiful castello, tastefully decorated, lovely views of the hills and surrounding farms. Very peaceful. Bed sheets were high quality and comfortable. We had some lovely walks down to Viano through the countryside and some lovely restaurants within 20 mins of the property. A very nice wine cellar too!
Negative: No AC in the rooms and the fans provided barely made a difference in the summer heat. Could have done with a pool but understand that given its Agritourismo status this might not be possible. Breakfast was nice but basic. Wifi could be better, particularly if you need to work and so had to go into the village.

Positive: This is a spectacular castle near Modena with very comfortable;le rooms. The staff were very friendly and kind. The two dinners we had outside in the courtyard were exceptional, all local produce. We had a superb stay.

Positive: Amazing staff!
Negative: The rooms were cold on the first day, but later it was better, the staff also gave us some heaters. It might have been because it was closed for Christmas and took time to re-heat the place. Everything was nice but a shelf in the bathroom, some hooks to hang towels, and an armchair/ chair / even a small sofa in the room would make it perfect.

Positive: Location was incredible. The restored castello was fabulous and the grounds were well manicured, lovely and offered incredible views. They had just had the access road paved and it makes all the difference. Good on them! Dinner was quite good and the ambiance was even better.
Negative: Our rooms were terribly cold on the first day. Seems that the under floor heating needs to be turned on much earlier before the arrival of guests. The shower in my room had a problem with drainage and the floors were quite wet and puddled and the water had nowhere to go. Furnishing were sparse: no comfy chairs, no drapes or curtains, no luggage rack/stool, no KETTLE, coffee or tea in the rooms. No AC. Those old buildings are extremely cold in the winter.
Summary: I would not recommend this venue. The short comings outweigh the price and its natural beauty.

Positive: We've never stayed in a castle before so this was quite a treat. The room was massive and well appointed. The bathroom was modern and renovated. We loved how the castle maintained its beautiful traditional features yet had modern comforts. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious. All the staff was friendly and welcoming. Views from our room on the hill top were gorgeous.
Negative: Our room didn't have air-conditioning, there was a beautiful breeze outside, which would have sufficed to cool us off, but there were no fly screens and we didn't want to keep the windows open because there were huge bugs swarming around outside. So unfortunately we spent our night sweating in our (otherwise very comfortable) bed. The shower was also very hot, there didn't seem to be an option to have a cold shower, which would have been helpful without the aircon. If the accomodation had aircon it would have been a 10/10.
