Positive: Peaceful and stunning location. A starter pack of cereal, eggs, milk etc. Very well equipped. Big comfortable bed and pillows. Dogs not being permitted is an increasingly rare bonus for non-dog owners.

Summary: Superbly well equipped hideaway ideal for the John O'Groats trail.

Positive: Not far from the main road and easy to arrive. Good home base in a peaceful location. At first I thought the chalet might be too small but when we arrived we were really pleased. In the kitchen where everything we need. (Plastic wrap was a big bonus so we could take lunch with us when we went on an adventure :D ) A good welcome package. You can watch birds and other animals or you can walk to the beach (steep path) Overall we liked it a lot.

Negative: A little bit hot on a sunny day; you must remember to close the curtains if you leave somewhere for a day ; )

Positive: The location is absolutely spectacular - almost a 180° view of the North Sea, complete with a ruined castle that you can walk to (highly recommend for the view of the cliffs and beach). The chalet itself is extremely clean and wonderfully set up. The floor to ceiling windows at the front allow you to completely take advantage of the view while you’re staying! Gorgeous spot, will definitely be back if I’m up that way again! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a stop on the NC500.
