This especially PEACEFUL hide-a-way, affectionately known to many as “THE CABIN”, is located on the upper reaches of Peakes Brook valley on a 500 acre farm property with brooks, meadows and woods.
Enjoy the serenity of Rest and relaxation while sitting on the porch or lying in the hammock under the apple trees listening to the brook or watching wildlife.
For those of you who are looking for remote working space, we now have 5g internet access. Cell phones will also work from this new connection.
Also available is the Apple TV you can connect to your viewing subscriptions.
Walking, hiking, snowshoeing, x-country skiing through the fields and woods along Peakes Brook are out your front door.
If you desire, there are many seasonal local cultural attractions and activities to experience during your stay. There is a weekly farmers market in Delhi 6(miles), yard sales and antiquing, fishing, hiking, golf, snowmobiling trails (a mile away), wedding and event venues, SUNY Delhi, West Kortright Center and Handford Mills museum to name a few. The Cabin is just 16 miles from the city of Oneonta for more food, shopping choices, baseball All Star Village and Hartwick college & SUNY Oneonta colleges. Cooperstown Hall of fame is a scenic country ride of 32 miles away.
To ensure a pleasant stay, your hosts Paul and Candice are just a mile down the road on the lower end of the farm.

Summary: A beautiful, quaint cabin in a quiet, lush valley. Can't wait to come back when I have more time to enjoy it and I am not constantly shuttling off to the nearby Cooperstown baseball tournament.

Summary: First off, this might've been the cleanest accomodations we have ever stayed in. It was that clean! Cool, secluded cabin at the end of a long dirt driveway with a nice view across a meadow, distant hill, and a forest on the other side. Loved that we got to see Bluebirds in the wild for the first time. House was comfortable and well-equipped. We will Definitely keep this cabin in mind for future escapes. If you need to "get away" for some focused work or rest, this is the cabin to do it in. In town, highly recommend Catskill Momos and the Busy Bee Cafe. Candice was very responsive and helpful as a host.

Summary: From the very first contact and throughout Candice and Paul were fabulous hosts. The cabin itself beyond met our expectations. The pictures definitely don't do it justice. Everything inside of the cabin was beautiful and high quality. We were blown away by all of the little details that made us feel cared for and welcome. The views are breathtaking, the wildlife plentiful, and the good times by the fire will be remembered always. I can not possibly say enough good things about our stay and our hosts. You will not be disappointed if you choose The Cabin. A+++ all the way. Thank you Candice and Paul!

Summary: Our friends were getting married at Maple Shade Farm so we booked the CABIN for our stay (only 15 mins away). The hosts were very welcoming and the house was so clean and accommodating. It was everything we needed and more on a chilly rainy mountain weekend!

Summary: I had a wonderful week at Paul and Candice's cabin. I was looking for a secluded and quiet place to unwind from city life, and it was exactly what the doctor ordered. No cars or people anywhere in sight or earshot. The property is incredible, and I relished my daily ritual of sitting at the bistro table near the big window at the front of house at sunset, looking at the rolling green hills and watching the deer graze on grass in the distance. The cabin isn't fancy but it's very comfortable, has every modern convenience (dishwasher, washing machine, high-speed wifi, Apple TV, microwave), and Paul and Candice left it fully stocked with everything I needed (paper goods, coffee and filters, laundry detergent, etc.). The hosts were easy to communicate with and I thank them for sharing their cabin with me!

Summary: The Cabin was clean, comfortable, and private. It was a good alternative to local hotels. Our needs are simple but the cabin was equipped for way more...like a (small) family vacation. We enjoyed the back porch overlooking a quiet meadow for coffee, conversation and/or alone time. I would recommend.
