Cavalier Cottage, at Ruby Dog on B Street, is one of the most private spots here in the heart of St. Augustine Beach. This two bedroom / one bath unit is perfect for families traveling with their dog. Cavalier Cottage has a private fenced in backyard, with a patio area, in addition to the newly landscaped and fenced in front yard. The deck has a large teak table and is the ideal spot for a family dinner or lunch after a long morning on the beach.
The cottage has an open floor plan with the kitchen and living room together as one large space. The living room has plenty of seating with two couches and a cozy chaise lounge too. The completely renovated kitchen features quartz countertops, a huge island with seating, all new appliances and everything you will need to prepare, cook and enjoy meals while here at the beach. The cottage has a large flat screen TV for you to enjoy a wide variety of Comcast cable offerings. Both of the bedrooms have brand new queen mattresses and linens. Cavalier Cottage also has a twin size cot, which can be set up too. The completely remodeled bathroom features a tub with shower, all new towels and a large vanity with storage.
Ruby Dog on B is only one house off of the beach so access to the beach and ocean is just a few steps away. We provide beach towels and chairs for our guests to use during their stay with us and an outdoor shower to rinse off when returning from the beach. We have laundry area with washer and dryer on site as well

Summary: We have stayed at this property several times. Each time it’s like returning home (away from home). Morgan, the property manager, is very welcoming and a perfect host. The cabin has everything you might need. And is very comfortable. Just a hop over the dunes to the beach. We have already made our reservations for next year.

Summary: We stayed for a month at this very stylish cottage. The overall effect of many windows and open space was inviting. The bedroom upstairs was useless to us as it had a set of ladder stairs( go down backwards) and no bathroom up there. So not really practical. The bedroom downstairs is very small with no window that opened and no dresser/bedside drawers. So we basically lived out of our suitcases. Even a dresser in the main room would have worked. We did ask but no luck with that request. It may have been out of Morgan’s hands. As was the 2 weeks of exterior painting that took place right outside our windows while we were there. The inside was clean, towels and linen were nice quality but pillows were not comfortable (I prefer down alternative to rectangular foam). The outside could have been so pleasant. It needs some TLC in terms of cleaning the outdoor chairs (mold growing) and fence repair. What had been done was make shift. Morgan was do responsive and did what he could to do what we asked. But unfortunately the stay was less than perfect for the above reasons. We enjoyed our stay primarily because the location is perfect! Beach walks morning and night and restaurants within easy walking distance. We would recommend this cottage highly with a bit more attention to detail. Pam and Jack
